Nicole POV
"That was really uncalled for!" I exclaimed as I managed to pull Justin off of Cameron. "Now get the hell out of here, wouldn't you!" Justin yelled at Cameron. "I'm sorry Cameron." I whispered subtly as he headed for the
door.
"I don't want you seeing him anymore." Justin said to me, as I dabbed the cut by his eye. "You sound like you're talking to a teenage girl who has a friend who does drugs! He isn't a bad guy, I don't need you picking my friends!" I yelled, harshly slapping a bandage on the cut. "I just don't want him to take you away from me!" Justin yelled quietly, making my heart pulse.
Stop, you're mad at him, I said to myself, but I couldn't help but feel my heart beat speed up. "I'm still upset." I said, slightly tilting my head down. "If you're upset, I'll let you get calmed down. Bye, I love you." Justin said, turning my head with the tip of his finger and kissing my lips gently. I couldn't help but kiss back, the sweet kiss made my heart falter.
After he left, the house was silent. I decided to go for a jog in the park, I only needed an hour until I pick up Delilah, so I figured I had some time to burn. I went to my room and changed into a neon pink sports bra, and black yoga pants. I tied the laces on my Nike freeruns, and tied my hair in a high ponytail. I wrapped a small cardigan over my torso, so I wouldn't be showing off too much.
I grabbed a 'Frozen' water bottle that Delilah insisted on buying, and plugged my headphones in my phone. Chandelier by Sia started playing, and I stuck my phone in my cardigan pocket. I jogged downstairs to the lobby, and drove to the City park. I parked in the parking lot, then started running on the path.
As a buff, shirtless, ginger ran past, he reminded me of Justin in a way. He had creases on his tummy, showing that small abs were forming. Justin has already got abs, though. And Justin has tattoos inked on his toned arms and chest. Justin has soft, fluffy brown hair, while this guy has bright, orange hair. Thinking of Justin made me run faster, I soon realized. My feet were numb, but I kept going, just thinking about him.
After about ten more minutes of running, I started to get thirsty and worn out. I stopped, and took a long sip from the water. I sighed, shaking the beads of sweat off of my forehead. I pulled my cardigan over my body, and started to walk to the car. It was 7 minutes until 3:00, just enough time to drive to Delilahs school.
I drove to Delilahs school, parking the car in front of the building. It was right on time, the preschool teacher with teddy bears on her shirt barely opened the bright blue door. I walked to the door signing Delilah out. "How was your day, sweetheart?" I asked, snapping her in the carseat. "Good mommy, can I get a cookie from strawbucks?" Delilah asked, making me laugh slightly as I shut her door.
One time, one time I bought her a cookie from Starbucks, it was actually a while ago, and now she wants another one. I decided to give in, its a little treat, what would hurt? I drove to the Starbucks driverthru, and stopped in front of the speaker. "Welcome to Starbucks, how may I help you?" A voice said crankily though the speaker. "I'd like one chocolate chip cookie, and one grande peppermint mocha, please." I said. "That'll be 5.60, stop at the second window please." the person said, and I drove to the second window.
I took out the money, and gave it to the girl at the window. She passed me a small bag with chocolate chip cookie, and the latte. I sat the latte in the cup holder, and gave the chocolate chip cookie to Delilah.
I drove home, and we went up to the place. Delilah kicked off her shoes, and started eating the cookie. Melted chocolate was spread on her face as de finished, and she burped softly. I took out a napkin from my purse, and wiped her mouth. "Mommy, where's daddy? Is he in your room?" Delilah asked, eyes looking at me. "He isn't here, he left earlier, darling. Do you want to take a little nap?" I asked.
