Nicole's POV

"Delilah, I already said no. Put it back." I said. She had been whining for this little people set, and it's cute, but she probably play with it for a few days and then they would be all over the stairs. "Mommy, please? I really want them." Delilah said, pulling my sleeve. "No, I already said it. You can get something else, just no toys." I said firmly, plucking the toy from her hands and placing it back on the shelves.

I'm out shopping, Justin is at home with the twins, I'm not going to take them out and about just weeks after they're born. Delilah stood on the side of the cart while I wheeled it to the cereal aisle. I picked up some Cheerios and Fruit loops, I don't have much time in the day to make nice breakfasts like I always have.

We walked through the aisles, Delilah playing the 'Only touch the colored tiles' with the floor of the store. We didn't need many things; Wipes, cereal, milk, eggs, diapers, batteries, and that's pretty much it. "Mommy, can I get those?" Delilah asked, pointing to a mini box of goldfish crackers. "Sure." I one-word replied, anything better than another toy that would just end up packed away in a closet. We paid for all our things, and then headed home.

I unpacked all the groceries and put them in their places, and went upstairs to see how my babies are. The twins were asleep in their cribs, and Justin was also asleep. But not on our bed, on the floor of the nursery. I guess you could say I was gone for a good two hours, it's time consuming to walk through a store with 50 different types of toilet paper.

I got a blanket from the hallway closet, and covered the sleeping lump with it. I kissed his forehead and shut the door, so that no noise would ruin the preciousness of the moment. "Are you hungry, Delilah?" I asked, walking into the kitchen and seeing her look in the fridge. "Yeah, I am kind of hungry mommy." Delilah said. "Well, why don't we go out for lunch today? A little time just for us?" I suggested, since Noah, Daniel, and Justin are fast asleep. I haven't really had time to just sit down and have a little time with Delilah, so I should definitely grasp this opportunity.

"Yay! Can I get raspberry lemonade and a grilled cheese sandwich and a cookie and a-" "We will see what they have, okay?" I chuckled, kissing her head. "Before we leave, can you wait a few minutes for me to change?" I asked, Delilah nodded, and I went to my room to change. I wasn't going to dress in anything fancy, but I didn't want to look that bad.

I decided on a simple white tank with a crochet neckline, and some dark washed jeans, along with some Dolce Vita sandals and red lip stain. "Let's get going, before everyone wakes up." I whispered mischievously to Delilah, she giggled happily as we headed back out the door.

The little cafe we always used to go to was shut down, it was now an abandoned building with the name covered up. Right next to it, there was a different café-looking place, it had the logo on the front, it looked like a siren that are found all over folklore booklets. There was the name of the place, bright and noticeable; 'Starbucks'. I've heard of this place before, but have never paid much mind to it. Never have been there, but there's a first time for everything, right.

I had to look up the menu on my phone before we went in, I didn't want to look like the fool who is squinting to read the menu and is holding up the line. I already decided on a Ham and Swiss panini, which is probably like a sandwich, for Delilah. I decided on a zesty chicken and black bean salad, it sounds good, right? For drinks, they were advertising frappuccinos, but I wasn't going to give in. Instead, I picked out a sweet green smoothie and a mango smoothie. Two chocolate chip cookies as well. Now all I have to do is order.

I got out of the car with Delilah, my purse on my right hand and Delilah's hand in the other. The place was inviting, yet intimidating. The smell of crushed coffee beans, and the sound of blenders working woke my senses up. I was standing in line behind two giggling teenagers, the tables were filled with people sipping coffee and tapping on computer keys. The girls ordered in a snap, and it was immediately my turn. "Thank you for picking Starbucks, how may I help you?" The person at the cash register asked, cheery smile on her face.
