Nicole POV
I adjusted Delilahs flowy blue dress, and bit my lip. I strapped her sandals and smoothed the wrinkles forming on her dress. Delilah could go to school today, so I wanted her to look presentable. Her wavy hair flowed down her back, and a headband kept the front in place. I gently slipped the straps of her backpack on her arms, and clipped her lunch on her bag. I pressed a kiss to her cheek, and went to change. I was going to work today, so I have to look nice.

I pulled my white tank top I slept in off, and I peeled my sweats that were encased in sweat. I put on a knit cropped beige sweater, it was comfy and soft. I put on black fleece leggings, and some buckle combat boots. I put my pearl studs in my earlobes, and pulled on a set of black bangle bracelets. I went to the bathroom to do my makeup. I rubbed some sheer matte foundation on my face, and berry tinted lip balm on my lips. I applied mascara on my eyelashes, and went back downstairs.

"Ready?" I asked softly. Delilah quickly nodded, desperate to leave the house. She hasn't been out for two days, which she isn't used to. I swung my black bag over my arm and opened the door, and locked the door. I slipped my hand in Delilahs, and walked ourselves to the car. I unlocked the car, and sat Delilah in her car seat. I clasped the seat belt on the seat, and carefully closed the door. I sat in my seat, and buckled up. I drove to Delilahs school, while 'Shake it off' was playing. I arrived at the school, and got Delilah out.
"Bye Princess, I'll see you later. Jasmine and Ryan are picking you up today, alright?" I said, picking up Delilah. "Okay, is daddy going to our house?" Delilah asked, legs pressed against my torso. "I'll call and see, Del. Daddy is busy sometimes." I replied, kissing her cheek and setting her down on the pavement. "Okay mommy, I can go in now?" Delilah asked. "Yes, I'll walk you to the door." I nodded. "No, I'm a big girl. I can go myself. Peese?" Delilah asked. "Okay...I'll watch from here." I replied, watching her scurry in the class with delight. I frowned, she's growing up.

I went back to the car and drive to the local party supply store to start birthday shopping. I parked in the parking lot, and got off. Locking the car and clutching my purse I started to walk in the shop, when I was bombarded by people with cameras. "You were spotted with Justin Bieber yesterday, who are you?!" Someone shouted, cameras flashing in my face. "Please let me through." I said, hiding my face but failing. I felt a warm hand slip in mine, and pull me in the shop. The lock clicked, and I was inside the shop. The stranger closed the curtains, and turned around. "Sorry for just pulling you in here, I saw you were in trouble. I'm Vanessa, Vanessa Cuevas." The woman my age smiled, putting out her hand. "I'm Nicole, thanks for that." I breathed. "What are you here for?" She asked. "Birthday supplies." I replied, smiling softly. "We have lots of that stuff here, I'll let you look around." Vanessa smiled, and wandered away.

I looked in the aisles, list in hand. I found some packets of pink goodie bags with hearts scattered on them, I added them to my basket. I looked for other things on my list, and found some. I found some pink and purple streamers, and pink balloons. I also got a 20 pack of pink plastic tablecloths, and 20 invitations. The invitations had a pink bow printed on the front, the bow embroidered with glitter. In bold and bright print, it read, It's my birthday! On the front. I was going to hand write the inside tonight. I got tons of pink plates, plastic cutlery, napkins, and solo cups. I didn't find anything else I needed there, I'll go for the piñata, candy, goodie bag fillers, and other things elsewhere.

I brought all the things I got to the register, where Vanessa stood. She rung up my things, and put them in bags. "You've got some nice things, that'll be 32.45." Vanessa smiled. I slid Justin's card in the credit card slot and put in the pin and stuff. "Thank you so much." I thanked, picking up my bags and putting the credit card back in my pocket. "I'll see you soon?" Vanessa asked, I nodded. "I'll come back, maybe we could catch a coffee?" I grinned. Vanessa nodded, we exchanged numbers.
