Justin's POV

"Justin, what is this about?" Nicole's mom scowled, starting to stand up. "I don't want to be in the same room as her, can I leave?" Nicole said, turning the knob of the living room door. "It's that bad?" Nicole's dad whispered, he was heartbroken about how everything turned out to be. "Wait, both of you please sit down. It's about your dad." I said, the room got dead silent, they froze in there spots.

"What do you mean?" Nicole asked quietly, slowly sitting back down. "I will explain everything, okay? Just be very open-minded." I said slowly, they both nodded, mouths closed and hands in their laps. I could tell they were related, both reacted to shocking news the same way. They close up.

"He's here. Your dad is here. Your husband is here, whatever you refer to him as. He's here." I said, James was already squirming in his seat. "I swear, if this is some sort of prank-" Nicole's mom started coldly, but I quickly interrupted. "It's not, I swear on my life. Now let me explain everything. His spirit is present, he's right here." I explained.

"How would he even get here, even if this isn't a prank?" Nicole asked. "He was always here, just never visible. He can't rest, that's why he's here. He cannot go into the light." I said. "And why?" Nicole's mom asked. "Because of your guys' relationship. You both loathe each other. His family is broken apart, and he wants to change that." I said.

"And why won't he talk to us? Why won't he make us know he's here, hm? Explain that." Nicole's mom scoffed, she didn't believe a word I said. "I'm the only one that can hear, and see him. I'll let him talk to me, and then I'll tell you what he says." I remarked. "Tell Cassidy I miss her so much. Tell her I love her, tell her that I wish I could take her to that Brazilian cruise one last time." James said, I nodded. "He says that he misses you and loves you very much. He says he wishes he could take you to that Brazilian cruise? What does he mean?" I asked. The two women looked at each other with eyes the size of saucers, and busted into tears.

"Daddy, I'm sorry! I'm sorry I had a baby before I was supposed to, I'm sorry!" Nicole cried between sobs. "Princess, don't apologize! I'm so proud of you for being such a good mother, okay?" Her dad rushed over by her side, even if she didn't notice. "He says he doesn't want you to apologize. He is proud of you for being such a good mom." I said, going over and rubbing her back as she cried.

"I'm sorry, too!" Nicole's mom suddenly cried out, she whipped out a tissue to wipe her eyes. "I wanted Delilah because she was a little piece of you! I fell in love with her, because she is so much like you." She whispered the last part. "That's why you did it, mom?" Nicole asked, standing up, it had been a while since I had heard her call her 'mom'. "Yes, that's why. I'm sorry, honey. I'm so sorry." Nicole's mom said, squeezing Nicole in her arms.

James quickly joined the family hug, I was watching in awe from a distance. "Are we okay?" Nicole's mom smiled softly, Nicole nodded, a small smile peaking on her face. "Justin, thank you. You're the reason my family is back together." He said, and hugged me tightly. I didn't even know he could do that.

"Is my dad going to be able to rest now?" Nicole asked. "Probably, he will see the light soon." I nodded. "I love you girls a lot, take care of each other." James said, kissing their cheeks. And for some reason, I could sense they heard him.

"Look, you see that?" James said, squinting and pointing to nothing. "It's the light, does it look like the sun?" I ask, he nods and started walking. As he walked, he slowly started to fade. "Thank you again Justin, bye everyone!" He called, just before he disappeared.

"He's gone." I said. "He also wanted me to get you two these." I said, taking the roses out of the hallway closet. "Aw, he stayed the same, he really did never change." Nicole's mom smiled, her voice was soft like a feathery pillow. "Mom, why don't you stay for lunch?" Nicole asked, getting a vase and placing the roses in it. "Heck, I'll make lunch! After, can I finally see the boys?!" Nicole's mom squeaked in excitement. "Of course, but I'll help. Can we make that chicken-" I couldn't hear them any longer, they left together to the kitchen.
