"Bucky, wait!" I ran after the super soldier, not caring for the guards who tried to stop me, forcing fear straight through them until I reached my target.

"Emilia?" He turned around, as soon as he did I crashed my lips into his. He was hesitant at first, but his arm snaked its way into my hair and I pulled him closer, until we finally parted for breath.

"I love you, Bucky Barnes, I always have."

"Why?"

"Because I feel you, and I could feel you then too."

TWELVE YEARS AGO

"This is The Winter Soldier, I suggest you stay in line before he makes you." My eyes locked onto the dark haired man, my body trembling as I felt a wave of pure pain wash over it. "I'll comply." It was a gasp, and the doctor smiled, before speaking to the soldier in a language I didn't understand. Then, he walked out, leaving me alone with the famous assassin. "I.."

"Shut up." It was an order, one paired with a cold glare. But there was more behind it, the eyes void of emotion were nothing against my power. I was an empath of sorts, and this man was hiding years of torture, and deep down, there was a light, full of joy and love. "My name is Emilia." I dared to step closer.

"I said shit up." Suddenly his metal hand was squeezing my throat, and my instincts took over, forcing a wave of fear through his body, watching as he staggered back. "What did you do to me?" He questioned.

"What I had to."

"Answer me."

"I made you feel fear, it's one of my abilities, I can make people feel emotions." The time, I took away the fear, "or take them away."

"Don't do it again."

"Because I might uncover your true self?"

"Because you might not like what happens after."

THREE YEARS AGO

I remained hidden as I watched him, truth is, I'd known where Bucky Barnes was for a while, but I was too afraid to confront him.  I didn't know what drew me to him after hydra, but an invisible string kept me running back to him, and his emotions. That's when my phone buzzed in my pocket, and I opened it up to see a message from Steve. He was asking where j was, and I knew it was only a matter of time until he called, so I began to move, making my way through the streets.

However, when I turned into an alleyway, I felt the air leave my lungs, my back crashing against concrete as I fell. I looked up, seeing the exact man I had been following, eyes clouded over. "Who are you?" He was angry, that much was evident.

"I'm nobody." I replied, standing up, staggering a little.

"Don't lie to me." He stepped closer, a metal arm advancing towards my throat and slamming me against the wall. "How did you find me?"

"I never lost you."

"I won't go back." I felt his grip tighten, my vision growing hazier by the second.

"I'm not them, please." His other hand pulled a knife, and as he drove it into my shoulder, I let the power take over as I had all those years ago, forcing fear into his mind. Except, it made no difference, a man in fear was a man uncaged. "Please." This time, I forced mercy, feeling his grip loosen slightly, and then he stepped back, looking around, before taking off. "Bucky." His name was a whisper as I watched him disappear once again, before looking down at the knife, still lodged in my shoulder. This would be fun to explain.
