My name is Brina, and I live on Skull Island, at least that's what we call it. I've lived here for as long as I can remember, that is because I was abandoned here years ago, 16 to be exact. Thanks to this, I grew up with the animals of the island, the very large animals might I add. Oh, and somehow the island had gifted me with the power to feel them in a way, just like it made them huge. One in particular had raised me, the King himself, Kong.

He's the one who named me, don't ask but it took a long time for him to spell it out into the mountain surface with a large rock. From what I knew it meant protector/defender, and I liked it, after all it was our job to protect the island. The locals on the island treated my father figure as a god, therefore when I went to them through my life, they made me clothes. My jacket was a different story, that came from an old fighter, Marlow, who crashed here long before I was born. But now, many threats were starting to rise.

That's where this story starts, with us protecting the island...

"Hey, I'm going for a run, see you later?" I asked as I stood on a rock looking up at Kong. He grunted and nodded, so I took off into the woods. I loved running through it like this, most of the nature may be lethal, but I had one weapon, a katana given to me by Marlow, he had two and said he didn't need them both. As I was running, I heard a new sound, an unfamiliar sound. Something was here, something that I'd never seen and that flew. I climbed the nearest tree, going up the tallest branch and peering above the leaves. In the sky were multiple flying devices, each one held people.

Suddenly, a loud crash was heard and I turned to see fire. Then another, and another, all coming closer. I jumped down, swinging through the trees and letting out a loud, roar. When I got close enough, I jumped to the nearest hill, watching as my world was attacked. Then I spotted Kong, and I ran faster towards him. He looked at me, "outsiders. The west side of island, they're going to wake up the Skullcrawlers." I explained. He nodded, before continuing his advances towards the new machines. He was the defender, and he was going to take them out.

One by one he tore through the new machines, and one by one the humans fell to the ground. If not already dead, the island was sure to pick them off, and if it didn't then I would. They'd flown into my home, and blown it up, that was an act of war. So war they would get. When I was snapped from my thoughts by a low grunt, I ran towards the fight. I may be small, but I could fight the ones on the ground. I ran forwards, screaming at them and alerting King to their locations. He used this to take more out, and eventually they were all gone.

I looked up at him, out of breath. He was injured, "go clean yourself up, I'm going to scout around and make sure we took care of them all." I stated, as he held out his hand. I ran my own along it, before turning away and into the forest, it was our way of saying goodbye when I couldn't get to his head. If I could, I'd lean forwards and press my head to his giant cheek or nose. When raised by a giant, animal it was the most we could do.

I decided to head towards the small clearing just through the forest ahead, that's where one of the many giant buffalo lived, one in particular stuck to a large pond. As I was exiting my cover in the trees, I spotted some of the humans, there were only a few of them but they were still armed. "Please don't get up." I mumbled, looking down at the water where I knew the buffalo hid. But when the moss started to lift, I knew he was going to take a look at the outsiders. "Dammit." I muttered, still watching in silence. Guns raised and I charged, landing on its horn, letting out a low growl.

"Any of you breathe and I'll cut you in half," I drew my sword, noticing the way the buffalo shifted benaeath me. "It's alright buddy, I got you." I patted its heads.

"Put it down." One man dared to move, reaching out to his partner and lowering his weapon.

"A man of sense."

"Who are you!"

"Oh no, you don't get to come into my home and ask questions," I jumped down, "what do you want with them?"

"What?"

"The animals, the people, the monsters?"

"How about you put away the weapon, and we all talk about this?"

"Last time someone spoke to me, they tried to kill me, he didn't like that"

"Who?"

"Kong."
