I looked over at my shadow, it was a blessing and a curse to have a shadow that was free to do what it wanted, but in moments like this, I appreciated it's company, well, more like it's use. Being the daughter of Peter Pan, I had the power of flight as long as I wore my pixie dust necklace, alongside this, I inherited a living shadow, and right now was a perfect time to have such a friend. I watched from the roof as one of the villain kids, Mal, stood with Ben, holding a cookie. Little did she know, my shadow had been there when this 'cookie' had been made. After happily singing Mal's name, he left with Jay and Carlos towards the tourney field, and I jumped down, landing in front of the two girls left behind.

"Oh look, it's the windpipe with a manchild for a father." Mal folded her arms as she turned to me.

"Yeah, well, I didn't come to chat. I just want to say that I know what was in that cookie, and eventually, the truth will come out." I stated, leaning on the lockers beside me.

"Ooh, I'm shaking. Look, Piper, I'm just trying to fit in here, and make friends." She excused.

"Yeah, yeah, I won't give you up. These guys have never looked out for me anyway, and judging by the four of you villain kids, they actually hang out with everyone, even if it's just to fight." I said, turning away again.

Those were the few words I ever spoke to Mal, like I told her, I pretty much stayed away from everyone in Auradon. Eventually, the coronation came around and the VKs put their plan into action, bringing Maleficent to the castle, which ended up being her own demise as Mal defeated her and turned good. Now, preparations for the upcoming Cotillion were well underway, everyone desperate to get a dress before it was too late, all the while I sat on the roof and watched the Isle in the distance. I had come to know that the isle was full of kids who had each other's backs, so long as they were in the same group. Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay were proof of that. There was also one kid one the Isle I longed to be with again, someone who'd shown me the best parts of Neverland, and taught me to fight for myself.

"Hey, Piper!" I looked down, seeing Evie smiling up at me.

"Yeah?" I questioned.

"I need to show you something!" She called, and I looked at my shadow beside her on the ground below. "Not just your shadow, come on, please." She placed her hands on her hips, pouting and giving me a pleading look. I sighed, before launching myself off of my perch, floating as I neared the ground, landing lightly.

"You got five minutes, if I don't see anything I like, I'm out." She instantly lead me down the corridors, before stopping at her room where she created everything for the inhabitants of Auradon Prep.

"Okay, give me a moment..." she walked towards the closet and I leant back on the wall. "I know you're not like everyone else here, soooo, what do you think of..." she pulled out a dress, "this!" I stared at it. It was green, my usual colour, the skirt short at the front, getting longer at the back.

"Yeah, it's great, but I'm not so sure about the skirt." I said, about to turn.

"Who said it was a skirt?" She lifted the material, revealing a pair of shorts hidden underneath.

"So?"

"I'll try it on." I gave in, and she let out an excited squeal, minutes later I was wearing the design.

"Okay, now for the best part!" Evie walked over to a dark green jacket, holding it out for me to put on.
