"Ahk?" I froze as he began to sway, "Larry!" He turned away from the snake demon just as Ahk collapsed into my arms, eyes filling with worry. "Ahk, talk to me." I lowered slowly, not caring for the creature attacking us as I knelt on the ground, placing his head in my lap.

"Mother, Father, this is Kassandra," I grew nervous as their eyes moved onto me, "my love."

"A commoner?" His father seemed displeased.

"A beauty," his mother smiled at me, and I bowed my head a little.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, I've heard many great things." I stated, before feeling Ahk's arm fall over my shoulders.

"Please! Give him the tablet!" I spoke up, Ahk's grip growing weaker by the second in my hand. And then, he spoke, "we're out of time." I looked across, watching as his skin began to crack, eyes going completely white. "Ahk! No! Don't you dare!" He met my eyes, his hand squeezing mine weakly as he managed to let out one last line.

"Know that I love you."

"No."

"Actually, it's has a magical power that brings all the exhibits in the museum to life," I couldn't help but smile at Ahk's excitement as I turned the corner, seeing him talking to two younger girls and their family. "No seriously, what does it do?" One folded her arms and his smile faded.

"Nothing it's just for decoration."

"Tough crowd?" His smile returned as I walked over, checking for any onlookers, before kissing his cheek.

"I could tell every single person our biggest secret, and it would still be safe. Your time will never cease to amaze me." He shook his head.

"Yeah, welcome to the modern age, it's dark and depressing, but hey, at least we have technology." I faked enthusiasm, to which he shook his head.

"And this is why nobody likes you, my love."

"What? Because I'm honest? Says the one who told everyone Jed and Oc were going to be baked to death."

"I wasn't wrong."

"No you weren't." Ahk grinned at my admission, and then I felt something on my shoulder, looking to my side to see the familiar monkey.

"Hey, Dex."
