"This is SUCH a bad plan," Maya says, gripping my arm.

"Why? We've determined that my literally only talent is that because I create alcohol it takes me way longer to get drunk than anyone else," I say, folding my arms.

"So our default plan is having a drinking contest?"

"Do you have a better one?"

"No."

"Okay cool then let's do mine----just watch, and tase me if I start a rave, okay?" I say, cheerfully.

"Okay," Maya sighs.

"Come on, it'll be fine. Like you said yourself we should find out what is going on here," I say, adjusting my jean jacket, "It's a good deed."

"Yeah okay," she nods.

"Hey! Mrs.----Minos, person, is Ariadne here yet?" I ask, walking into I guess her sitting room. It's where she was last night. And is now. At ten in the morning. Drinking a martini.

"No. She'll be home soon though," she says, idly, sipping her drink, "What are you doing here?"

"Just entertaining ourselves, can I make you a drink?" I ask, going to the mini-bar.

"Do you know how to make a Manhattan?"

"I do, fun fact, my father is an alcoholic. I can make anything," I say, pouring some water into a glass. Doesn't matter. It'll be a Manhattan in a minute

"You're amusing," she says, accepting the drink from me, "It's very good."

"I knew it would be," I say, smiling my charming smile, "Does your husband always leave all alone here?"

"You are a baby," she says, pinching my cheek.

"I might surprise you," I say while Maya mouths 'why are you flirting with her' from the corner of the room.

"Oh I doubt that," she laughs. Today she's wearing a black cocktail dress, which is a weird choice for 10am.

"Let's find out," I say, taking a drink from the bottle of vodka I've been carrying with me, "You look bored. And I'm not at all boring."

"You're going to be on the floor in an hour at that rate," she scoffs as I take another long drink.

"Try me," I say.
