Ariadne
"This is it---of course he's broken in," I go directly to the computers. There were remarkably fewer guards today.
"Who?" Maya asks.
"Metion's been in here stalking us," I say, tapping in, "Did you really think I couldn't crack your passwords?"
"I assume that was for GreekChainsawMassacre?" Dean asks.
"Yeah sorry---all right I'm in---and Teddy is still going strong, or his beacon is moving," I sigh, "I'm going to close off the rest of the map, and leave open only Teddy's path to the final arena."
"What good does that do?" Dean asks.
"Aster would have to backtrack for days in order to get anywhere close to him—unless they're already within three feet of each other, this means Teddy is safe," I say.
"What happens in the final arena?" Maya asks.
"Nothing—they pick him up and video it I guess---it's just to collect him," I say, "I doubt my dad is even going at this point."
"Why did your dad do this anyway? Why put people in with the ---person that eats people?" Dean asks.
"I never said my dad was a good person---there's a reason I was letting Metion have at him," I say, dryly.
"What so this blocks the—sorry---Aster off completely? He can't at all get to where Teddy is?" Maya asks, pointing at the map.
"No—I can't see how he could climb 30 meter walls, that would make the entire Labyrinth rather pointless," I scoff.
