"What is it you're doing?"

"What are those two---people---doing here?" my father stutters, pointing at Dean and Maya. To be fair, they give off the general vibe of 'may not be a typical gender, but definitely not straight or sober'. Well. Maya looks sober usually.

"What are you doing?" I ask, folding my arms. We came to his private chambers. Only to find him dressed in a suit. Getting ready for the day.

"The sole challenger should be exiting the Labyrinth," he says, dismissively, "And why are those---degenerate people still here?"

"My associate is not a degenerate!" Dean says, pointing to Maya in case we were confused which we weren't.

"Dad, they're my friends leave them alone---"

"About that, I'm sure you've never mentioned them before I would remember the one that's drinking whiskey out of a bottle," he says, lightly.

"Regina is dead---theoretically Metion is still lose somewhere should you really be running off to promote the---fake contest?" I ask, confused.

"And whose fault is it Metion is loose, hmm? And my wife dead?"

"I think we can back that up to who kidnapped and imprisoned him to begin with," I growl.

"You did that," Dean makes such a good yes-man. "Not her. Last I checked you were the one doing Most Dangerous Game and a really fucked up Zoo Tycoon VR and imprisoning SilenceoftheChainsawDude."

"Did that make any sense to anyone else?" my father points at Dean, very slowly.

"You know what? Fine. I don't know why I care---Teddy's going to win and you can bring him back here," I say, tugging my friends out of the room, "Forget it. He'll bring Teddy back and we'll all go. For now let's try to find Viktor. He has to be somewhere on the island if Metion is."
