35: hospital

It was finally the day. the day taehyung will get his surgery. both were a bit nervous while they were driving. Well they were not driving anymore. They were standing in the parking lot of Jungkook trying to get taehyung to come with him into the hospital which the boy didn't want to.

"Is it really today?" Taehyung asked. He was just really scared of this. He didn't like this. yes he wanted to have the surgery. yes he was grateful and very happy this was going to happen, but he was scared and nervous. He didn't know how to act and what to do.

"Yes it is, now come. I'm here with you" jungkook said, taking taehyung's hand and guiding him into the hospital towards the counter. Taehyung shrunk visibly when he smelled the strange but clean hospital smell.

"Hello, what can i help you with?" the desk lady said, giving them a smile.

"my boyfriend got an appointment. His name is Kim Taehyung '' Jungkook said knowing taehyung wouldn't be comfortable saying even a word at the moment. clinging onto jungkook's shirt like a kid with his mother. It was cute in a way.

"Ah yes, I will give the doctor a call and an assistant will come get him. we can't allow you to join him but you can wait and see him right after it's done" she said informing the patient's boyfriend before everything will happen.

"That's okay. thank you" jungkook said and walked with Taehyung a few meters away to say their goodbye for now.

"Jungkook...."

The raven heard his name and the hand in his felt shaky like it was cold.

"Yes Tae?" Jungkook turned his head to the boy notching him, biting his lip like he was on the verge of crying.

"i'm scared," Taehyung said. the smell, the sounds, everything was still the same as that day he woke up blind and lost both his parents. A day he didn't want to remember.

"It's okay to be scared. but know that you will be fine when it's all done, i will be here waiting for you" Jungkook said and stood in front of the boy taking both his hands. "It's gonna be fine"

"I-i don't like it here, it makes me think of mom and dad. but they failed to save my father. What if i will die too...."

"Tae you're not going to die. they were going to do surgery on your eyes. there is a very low change you will die, don't think like that. and the doctors know what they're doing" Jungkook tried to cheer the boy up, not liking to see him sad before the big moment.

"Kim Taehyung. i would like to ask you to follow me, it's time" The assistant said with a smile even if Taehyung couldn't see the smile. She saw the boy noticed her and heard her Taehyung sighed softly and extended his hands to find Jungkook before hugging him tightly.

"You will wait for me right?"

"I will, I will be right here when you wake up." Jungkook said and hugged the other back tightly. "Now give me a kiss and go" Jungkook said and cupped taehyung's face giving him a long and soft kiss before handing him to the assistant that will guide Taehyung to the room.

Jungkook had decided to wait until the assistant told him Taehyung was in sleep and the surgery was starting before going anywhere. So he was sitting in the waiting room with some other people. He saw people come and go for the past half hour. He didn't bother to focus on them as he was deep in thoughts. He was worrying a lot. not really about the surgery as the doctor said it wasnt that dangerous or risky. but it was the question if it would work or not, and if it would have any effect. But Jungkook was worrying for the moment if Taehyung could see. What will the boy think of him? What did he think was ugly? What if he stops loving him? What if he will be disappointed?

Jungkook didn't like the thoughts but he couldn't block them out of his head, he kept going back to them and felt all down. He was anxious for taehyung's reaction to him. Because the boy had never seen Jungkook but only felt and heard him he didn't know what resting he would give. Will it be positive or negative? Jungkook hoped on a positive reaction of course. but that was still questionable. Jungkook began to wonder how taehyung had him shaped in his head? did he imagine him like this? or really different? or maybe not at all?

"Jeon?" a voice said and jungkook looked up seeing the same assistant of half an hour ago.

"Thats me"

"ah, can you come with me for a second? '' she said with a smile jungkook nodded and stood up following her away from the people in the waiting room. "So, Mr. Kim is put to sleep and the surgery will start any moment. it may take at least three hours, and then the medication needs to wear off so let's give it four hours, you can either wait here or return later. if anything comes in between which causes delay or its done sooner i will call you." she said.

"I see, thank you. I will go home, get some food and a shower then return," Jungkook said. The lady smiled and waved him off.

The raven got back to his car and sighed thinking. right now Taehyung was probably in the surgery. Was he in pain? Was it going well? Jungkook groaned not being able to stop all these thoughts in his head. He started the car. He will go home, eat something and pack something for Taehyung when he wakes up. He also will pack a little game. But he was also taking a shower before heading back to the hospital. a nervous feeling in his body that wouldn't leave until this was all over.

okay next chapter im gonna skip something about the surgery things, and since its just a story i can do that since it not real lol.
