13: nervous

Taehyung followed Jungkook who lead him to where he wanted to go. Taehyung said he had no idea how to get to the beach as he never walked there before himself. So the raven offered to lead the way.

They held hands and Jungkook time to time caressed the boy's hand with his thumb making butterflies fly in the blind boy's stomach, he was very sensitive to touches and sound so he felt that each time jungkook did it. And he loved it.

"we are here" Jungkook said when their feets started to walk over the sand of the beach. He could see the small restaurant already, it was a sunny say. Not too hot, not to cold, perfect for the beach. They wouldnt be going swimming as the sea was still too cold but you could just walk on te beach.

"great!" taehyung smiled and listened to the sound of the waves. Jungkook smiled and looked at Taehyung who seemed to enjoy the moment. The slight wind going through his hair.

"shall we go inside?" Jungkook asked after a moment watching the other.

"okay" taehyung smiled and let the other guide him again but this time inside the restaurant to a free table.

"do you want me to read the menu for you or do you already know what you want?" Jungkook asked as they got handed two menu's. He knew taehyung obviously couldnt read it.

"i want something like a toast, can you see if they have that?" taehyung asked sitting forward to show interest.

"sure" Jungkook flipped open the first page and srarted searching for a kind of toast. "hmm, they have grilled cheese toast....Tuna toast and eg-"

"i would like the cheese one"

"alright. And drink?"

"tea is fine"

"cool!" jungkook started looking for his own lunch he found quickly something he liked and ordered a chicken salad. He wasnt really the salad person but chicken salad was an exception.

While the two waited they started talking. Each time they spoke they were getting more and more comfortable. It was nice talking and hear about each of their lives and funny experiences.

"and thats when i met Jimin, ever since he has been my best friend" Taehyung said after he talked about when he was ten he met Jimin for the first time. The older had taken care of him through his school years and even  now. As taehyung was young but very smart at school, Once taehyung could return the favour and take care of Jimin that was when the older failed his exams. He had helped his friend get back up and have the spirit back to go for it.

"i see thats so sweet. You two must be very close" Jungkook smiled he felt a bit jealous about their friendship..He wasnt having such a close friendship with his friends they were more casual, but still very good friends for life.

"and you?"

"well i have two friends Hoseok and Yoongi. I also have a older brother Namjoon" the boxer said.

"yoongi? Wait you mean Min Yoongi?"

"yes him, how do you know him?"

"he is my friends Boyfriend. He and Jimin are a thing now"

"oh really, he didnt tell me"

"do you have a family? You said you had a brother" taehyung asked interested.

"i do have one but i dont really have a good relation with my father, my father was abusive. But the police took him away from our family. Besides that i really have a close bond with my mother."

"im sorry a about your father, but im happy to hear you have your mother and brother"

"what about your family?" jungkook asked but then quickly remembered it. "oh no, im sorry for asking"

"its okay" taehyung said looking down.

"why do you prefer not to talk about it if i may ask?"

"its not a good memory..."

"then i wont ask more. Look its the food" jungkook said seeing the waiter approach them. He heard taehyung chuckle.

"yes i see it, how nice" taehyung joked

"my bad" Jungkook said and smiled.

After their lunch the two decided to walk on the beach. Taehyung held onto Jungkook's arm tightly.

"you, know i wasnt always blind...But i dont remember what the beach looked like"

"really? Its just a bunch load of sand and water" jungkook said with a shrug. "Are there things you have never seen before?"

"i never seen other countries or cities...And i never saw some movies. There are a lot of things..I dont even know what my school looks like, i only know the layout"

"how do you remember the paths you walk?"

"practice, i walk everyday the same thing. I have little spots that are recognizable like a road crossing or a sign. I know that the store i met you was near the sign and my school is after the road crossing. The sidewalk will have all those small dots on the ground."

"that must have taken a lot of practice" Jungkook chuckled.

"it was. It took me at least a year to be able to blindly walk through the street to school."
The two stood still, taehyung looking up at the sun for other people it would seem as he was blinding himself but taehyung was already blind so he didnt notice.

Jungkook on the other side was looking at Taehyung. Feeling the boy's hands grip his bicep and lower arm so he wont lose him. The boy was so beautiful it made his heart speed up.

He really wanted this, he wanted to do it. He wanted to ask. Shall i...Do it? He asked himself mentally and looked at the boy.

"T-taehyung, i want to ask you something" he said and cursed at himself for stuttering.

"yes?" taehyung turned his head to kind of the direction jungkook's head was but he was actually more looking at the raven his shoulder.

"do you....Do you maybe want to be my boyfriend?" Jungkook asked, he felt very nervous asking this. Was he going to fast? Will he scare the other off? Was he a creep?

Many thoughts went through his head as he started to panick slighty and regret asking. He should have waited. He was about to speak up again when taehyung spoke first.

And as soon the blind boy said those words his whole body relaxed and he smiled.

"I would love to, yes"

"really!?"

"yes of course!" taehyung said and smiled happily. He even teared up bit refused to show his tears. Even if he couldnt see himself he thought he held them back. But jungkook still noticed the red eyes.

"hey why are you crying?" he asked concerned. Did he do something wrong already?

"d-dont worry. Im just happy"

"then its okay" jungkook pulled the boy in a tight hug. Both enjoying the closeness a lot. Taehyung felt comfortable in Jungkook's arms. He felt safe...Protected. It felt like he was meant to be with him.
