A promise to kill

Joker

I finish up in the vivre shop and wander into a bar after mentioning Kid to a couple people, about having spotting our ship sailing this way. 

" I finally got my hands of a log pose to Dressrosa but heard the Straw hats are over there now." 

"They're after Joker is what I heard. That SMILE factory was destroyed. Can't be a good sign. Wasn't Joker working with that Yonko?" The bartender laughs.

" There's no way a rookie like straw hats can beat Joker. Besides, Joker I heard he's a pretty strong pirate too. He ain't hurting none of us so I ain't got a problem with him as long as he stays in Dressrosa" 

I know that name. Joker. The man with a smile. Luffy is after him? 

" What can I get you?" The bartender asks and I smile pointing at the bottle on the counter.

" I'll take that bottle and as payment, I'll give you a piece of advice." As he hands me the bottle, I motion him closer. I cup my hands around my mouth and whisper into his ear. 

" The Kid pirates are hear and this village is their target. " I sit back in the chair as a look of dread washes over his face. I put a finger to my lips shushing him. 

" I'll give you 30 minutes to gather your family and friends to try and get out of here before the crew gets here but I wonder," i down the drink and let the glass fall from my finger tips. 

Ah, seems I'm in a bad mood after hearing about Joker. 

" I wonder, how far you'd be able to get away from me." I draw my gun and aim at his head as the whole bar get's silent.

" Do you you have a daughter? or maybe a son? What about a wife?" I ask the bar. They all look reluctant to answer. 

" Well, I'm someone's daughter. Someone's sister. One day, I hope to be someone's wife. Joker, the underground pirate, made some's daughter, someone's sister into a slave. that's all I have to say about him." I stand with my gun still aimed at his head. 

" It's real unfortunate that you ruined my mood. You could've gotten away before my captain and the rest of he crew got here but, now you only have 3 seconds to try and get away from me and after you get away from me, you'll have to try and get away from my captain." I shoot him and turn towards the rest of the residence of the bar. 

" I promise, I'm usually a good person so don't curse me too much once your dead. You all just caught me in a real bad mood." I pick up the fallen log pose and slip it onto my wrist before I let loose my devil fruit power stringing the people like pearls on a necklace. I hear the people outside screaming as well, signaling that the crew's made it into town. I grab my bags and drag my threaded enemies behind me, strung on a thick vine still screaming. 

" Your early. i told them that they had 30 minutes to run before you came. " I drop the bodies and they do their best to try to untangle themselves from my vines as well as each other. They all start running as soon as their able. 

" Of course, that's 30 minutes after escaping from me." I shot them all down. 

" What's this. You're a lot more blood thirst then usual." Wire places his hand on my shoulder but unlike myself, I shrug it off. 

" Kid. I have something to talk to you about when we get back. For now, I'm going to blow some steam. I'm a bit pissed off right now and it's really taking a lot out of me not to massacre this whole village." I try  to smile but i can feel my own lips resisting the action. Kid grins. 

"We'll talk when we get back. For now have at it." That's all I needed to hear before I release a wave of my power and all the wood around me begins to grow and combine into huge, monstrous trees. Grabbing, piercing, dropping, and ultimately killing any who I got a hold of. 

Kid whistles killing off the rest of everyone in his line of sight. " Right. Gather what we need and head back. Layla. Looks like we've got business to talk about. Somethings got your blood boiling, as much as I like this side of you, you take too many of my prey when your like this." He growls motioning me to follow him back to the ship. He glances at Killer. 

"Killer." We stop for a moment to look towards the second in command. 

" Layla, let me know later." I nod and Kid and I make our way back to the ship. 

I sit on the deck, as we didn't make it inside. 

" I need to go. Not forever but for a moment to Dressrosa. There's someone I need to see dead and if not dead, I need to kill. I need this for myself to settle some rage and get my bit of revenge. Now that I know where he is. " I look him straight in the eyes and he just smirks. 

" I'll be waiting then. We'll be waiting at the hideout for you then. If you ain't there, we're coming to get you. You ain't getting out of this crew that easy." I nod but I see a frown on his face again. He pushes one of our smaller ships off the deck and into the water. 

" Killer aint ganna be happy bout lettin you go." 
 " I know"

Kid goes on to set the small boat with a motor while I wait for the boys to put their haul down. I can only smile at Killer as he stepped towards me with a worried look on his face. 

"Layla, what's going on?" He holds my hand so softly that I can't help but melt at the warmth. I open my arms to receive a hug from him. He automatically pulls me into his arms, holding me tightly, already knowing that I will be leaving. He's not dumb, he can see Kid preparing me a boat, he can see the new log pose on my wrist, he can see resolve in my eyes. 

" When will you be back?"

" When Joker dies. I'll come back once Joker is dead, I'll be right back here, right next to you." I finally let go and step back. 

" Then, I'll be waiting, my lady Layla. " He whispers pulling up his mask just above his lips and kissing my forehead. I can't help but smile before I pull him down to my height and kiss him softly on the lips, softly, as if it's something meant to be forgotten.

" Heeew Heww. Do we get a goodbye kiss too?!" Wire jokes from his post beside Heat and I can hear them laughing. I run and pull them down to kiss them on the cheek. I then turn to my captain. I throw myself onto him and pull myself up to his height before planting my lips on his cheek as well. 

" I'll be back before you know it. I'm pretty strong you know. " I hand him the vivre cards after taking my own as well as a piece of his and Killers for myself. 

" I'll find you again and this time, you won't have to fish me out of the sea for it." I laugh and Kid offers me a hand to jump down from Victoria Punk  onto the cute little boat he's prepared for me. 

I jump down and wave as I begin to drift away from the ship that I've called home for the past few years. 

I'll come back for sure.
