Nikki: I started walking downstairs while looking at my class schedule when I bumped into another student.

Unknown Student: "I'm so sorry I didn't see you there."

Nikki: "It's okay; it was technically my fault I bumped into you first." And Because I was looking at my class schedule."

Unknown Student: "Oh, you must be the new student."

Nikki: "Yes, I am. My name is Nikki Martin. Nice to meet you."

Liam: "I'm Liam Rodriguez. I'm new here too. Looks like we are in the same class for the first 3."

Liam: "Nice to meet you, Nikki."

Nikki: "We can exchange numbers in the back of the class."

Liam: "Yup."

Nikki: As we walked into the classroom together, I found us a seat at a table in the back. I grabbed his wrist and dragged him along with me to the back, and we sat down at the table. I handed him my phone, and he put his number in. I noticed the other students looking at us like we were crazy.

Teacher: "Settle down," the teacher said as she entered the room.

Teacher: "My name is Natalie Walker, and today we have two new students in our class. Can you two come up to the front, please, and introduce yourselves?"

Nikki: I got up first and walked to the front. "My name is Nikki Martin. This is my first year here at this school. I come from a small city called Savannah, Georgia, I'm glad I was accepted to this school. I'm really into drama, arts, English, and sports, etc."

Teacher: "Very good, Miss Martin," Miss Walker said. "I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do in my English class. You may sit down now."

Nikki: I walked back to my table, and Liam walked up.

Liam: "My name is Liam Rodriguez. I came from a small city named, Norman, Oklahoma I'm happy to be here, and I'm also interested in art, sports, film, etc."

Teacher: "Very good, Mr. Rodriguez," Miss Walker said. "You may sit down now."

Teacher: As Liam walked back to the table to sit down, Miss Walker continued, "So today in my class, we are going to talk about what is English?"

Nikki: I raised my hand. "Yes, Miss Martin," I said, "English is a native American language with influences from different cultures and languages that you can learn from."

Teacher: "Yes, Miss Martin," Miss Walker replied, "very good answer."
