"Devin," I said in the dimly lit room, "I know I have a smart mouth, and I will always stand up for myself. So, I don't care if you don't like it, but you'll have to adjust to my attitude."
D.C: "I see, Nikki, so basically, we both have to adjust our attitudes while working to find our real parents," Devin replied.
Nikki: "Yes, now let's go back to our dorm. I'll text you when I look over my information. I started investigating my real parents," I told him.
[I left the room, heading back to our dorm. Along the way, I received a text from Liam, inquiring about my homework.]
Liam: "Did you finish your homework?" he asked.
Nikki: "I did all that the night before. I went to the football game," I texted back. I continued by asking him, "Did you get all your homework done, boo?"
[Upon returning to my room, I found the other girls watching a TV show.]
Nikki: "Hey, everyone," I greeted them.
Girls: "Hey, girl, what took you so long with Devin's stuff?" they inquired.
Nikki: "Well, it took longer for some reason. It didn't take that long with mine," I explained.
[I entered my room, placed my bag on the bed, and changed into fresh clothes. After that, I went to the bathroom, removed my old clothes, and began a relaxing soak in the bathtub. My phone rang, and it was Liam.]
Nikki: "Sup, boo?" I answered, what are you doing right now he asked me.
"Just soaking in the tub," I informed him.
Liam: "Boo, I need you to look at my projects for Miss Walker and Mr. Briggs," Liam requested.
Nikki: "Okay, I'll FaceTime you on the computer so I can see what they look like," I replied. "Give me a couple of minutes, and I will call you back."
[After hanging up, I set my phone on the sink counter and got out of the bathtub. I put on my pajamas, styled my hair into a messy bun, and returned to my room. I then initiated a FaceTime call with Liam on my laptop, and we shared our respective project progress.]
[Afterward, I plugged in my phone, revisited the information I had gathered about my real parents, and stumbled upon a substantial article.]
Nikki: "I found a huge article about them with some numbers," I said to myself, and I also discovered they are currently living in a mansion outside of a little town called Honey Town."
[Excited about the findings, I printed out the entire article and reviewed some notes attached to the back of the papers. Then, I typed in the numbers, leading me to their real names and address.]
Nikki: "I'll text Devin and let him know about all the information I found after investigating more on my laptop," I said to myself.
[As I checked my phone, I found multiple messages from Devin, eager to know what I had uncovered.]
