I finally managed to drag myself out of bed this morning, greeted by Devin's text announcing that breakfast was ready. With a sense of urgency, I rushed into the bathroom for a quick shower, the promise of a hearty meal propelling me forward. After some deliberation, I settled on a pink top emblazoned with the word "fearless," paired with matching jeans and high-top Adidas sneakers. As I stood in front of my closet, pondering my footwear choice, my mind wandered to the possibility of a spa day, a much-needed indulgence after the hectic week.
Nikki (thinking): Deciding to switch up my hairstyle, I began braiding my hair into intricate cornrows, a departure from my usual look. With my edges neatly laid, I made my way downstairs to join the others for breakfast.
The meal passed in a blur of conversation and laughter, my thoughts drifting to the virtual tour Caleb had requested. Despite my hesitations about the unconventional nature of our school, I agreed to show him around, eager to share my experiences with him.
Caleb: "Nikki, can you show me the virtual tour of your school?" Caleb's voice broke through my reverie, bringing me back to the present.
"Yes, I can show you," I replied, my voice tinged with uncertainty. Despite my reservations, I was determined to provide Caleb with an honest glimpse into our unique educational environment.
I pull out my laptop and turn it on and I pass it to him as I click the video on and he begins watching it. I got back in my bed and I went back to sleep. Until I feel like waking up later to go to the spa with my mom and my two sisters.
