Caleb: "We all got up, and I took a shower before practice. After that, I threw my football gear into my bag and carried my shoulder pads in my hands. We boarded the bus and headed to practice. When we finally arrived at the stadium, we immediately started practicing. I had a feeling we would stay there until the game at 8:00 pm.

Nikki: "I woke up again and took a warm bath, even though I hadn't played. I changed into new clothes because I didn't want to wear the same old ones for my brother's game. If they win tonight, we'll stay here until Saturday morning. I'm not looking forward to that long four-hour drive back to campus.

I turned my hat backward and started on some of my homework assignments. After finishing, I checked on my brother's assignments. He had turned them all in just as I had told him. Then I glanced at the time on my phone—it was 7:50 pm. I grabbed my bag and phone and headed out the door, waiting for the other girls in the hallway. Surprisingly, they didn't take long to get ready this time."

Liam: "Hey girly, we're hoping you and the other girls come out to tonight's game. xoxo Bae."

Nikki: "I saw my phone light up and saw Liam's text. I immediately typed back, 'Of course, we're coming, boo. xoxo.' We are on the way now; we're on the bus. No, we aren't dating; we just call each other that as friends. Finally, as the bus pulled up, we saw all the bright lights. The place was super packed. After we got past security, we found some empty spots in the front row. At least we were close to the game, on the bottom bleachers. We just made it.

I checked my phone again—it was exactly 8:00 pm. Our team was kicking the Gold Bears' butts. I took pictures of my friends standing next to my brother, Caleb. They all spun around and saw us sitting in the crowd. We waved at them. Shortly afterward, they all got into the game, including my brother.

I had been worried that the coach wouldn't let Caleb in because we had talked briefly when we were heading back to the bus from my game. Our school was leading 36 to 28. I turned around and saw Amber and Raven screaming at the top of their lungs. I tuned them out but joined in as well. We finally got the boys' attention, and they laughed at us while they were back on the sidelines."
