[Nikki, back in her room, woke up to a message from Harper about her mom being rushed to the hospital.]
Message: "Mom was rushed to the hospital because she collapsed at the house this morning. We and Dad are at the emergency room now. When can you come home? Caleb said."
Nikki: "I'm on my way now," she quickly replied.
[She began packing in a hurry, just in case she had to spend the night. Liam, emerging from the bathroom, noticed Nikki's distress.]
Liam: "Hey, girly," he greeted.
Nikki: "Sup, boo," Nikki replied, looking worried. "I'm going back home right now because my mom just collapsed this morning at my house, with my dad and my siblings. Oh no, are you okay?" Liam asked.
Nikki: "Not really," Nikki admitted. "I'm just worried about my mom. How about I come with you so I can keep you company?" Liam offered.
Nikki: "Alright, go pack," Nikki told him.
[Liam rushed out of the room, and Nikki continued packing. She eventually finished, grabbing her suitcase and other essentials. She informed her roommates that she'd try to be back before online classes started next week.]
[She received a message from Liam, saying he was ready to leave. Nikki texted him that she was ready and that he should come by her room.]
[She also messaged Devin, explaining her situation and mentioning that she'd see him later.]
[Then, Nikki and Raven, who had decided to join her and Liam, headed to the elevator and made their way to Liam's floor. They knocked on his door, and Liam came out.]
Nikki: "I will grab your suitcase," she told him.
[The trio headed to the elevator and eventually reached the parking lot, where they found Devin already packed and ready. Greetings were exchanged, and their belongings were loaded into Nikki's truck.]
[While driving, Nikki received a text from Principal Zoey Smith, who encouraged her to take her time and told her to convey the message to other students.]
[They arrived at the emergency room, and Nikki put on her face mask. After greeting her family, she introduced her friends to them.]
Nikki: "They're some of my friends, Liam, Raven, and Devin," she explained.
[Her family greeted her friends, and Nikki shared a laugh with her dad.]
[The nurse called them into the waiting room to see the doctor.]
