Nikki:"Before heading back to my room with Devin, we took several photos of the cave's mysterious symbols. Once we were back in my room, I pulled out my laptop to research the hidden door and its significance."
*As Nikki checked the time and saw it was 6:09 pm, she realized she was running late.*
Nikki: "I quickly dressed and grabbed my volleyball bag, heading to the gym. My mind, however, was consumed with thoughts of the cave and the secret door's history."
*At practice, Nikki was distracted, despite her best efforts to focus. She hit the ball across the net but found her concentration slipping away.*
Nikki: "After practice, I rushed back to my room, eager to prepare for the game against the Bully Beez."
*In her rush, Nikki took a warm bath and changed into her uniform. With time to spare before the game at 8:00 pm, she braided her hair and gathered her belongings.*
Nikki: "By 7:36 pm, I arrived at the gym, hoodie on, and joined Charlotte and Raven in the darkroom to review the film with my teammates."
*At 7:40 pm, Nikki's phone buzzed with texts from Liam and others offering their support. She exchanged friendly texts with Emily, making sure to clarify that there was nothing romantic between them.*
Nikki: "As the film played, I was fully immersed, aware of the tough competition ahead but confident in our team's ability to win."
