GIDEON CHANDLER would consider herself a hopeless romantic. Her younger self dancing around the room with a pillow in tow recreating the healthy relationship that she had seen on tv.
She could now do that stuff with her actual boyfriend, Ricky Bowen. Though with that said, it was hard for Gideon to even grasp the relationship that she had with him. The thoughts of lingering feelings from fellow friends around and just the fact that she had never been in a relationship before Ricky. In her words, "he's pretty much experienced.".
According to her, she wasn't. She hadn't gotten used to the PDA and everything that came falling with a relationship. They never showed the process of a person getting into a relationship and the steps with it when Gideon was growing up. She was all on her own in this field.
Plus, she worried about the relationship falling through. Just like her parents. More on that later though.
Adding to those thoughts Gideon also had other various thoughts and personal problems to go through, along with Ricky.
Such as (but not limited to): divorced parents, acne, crying (more than usual we presume), friendships, relationships, "enemies", the girl(s) who seems to want to get with Ricky Bowen though being in a happy relationship with Gideon, and so much more!
RICKY BOWEN on the other hand was head-over-heels for Gideon. And though she felt the same way, it was hard for her to process that.
Ricky was down to do anything for and with Gideon. No matter what it was he was going to do it.
His only worry was losing her. Relationship wise and friendship wise.
The way things fell out with Nini was something that put some things in perspective for the curly-haired teen. He didn't want a repeat of that relationship and he didn't want a repeat of how he and Gideon fell out.
Ricky wanted nothing more but to keep Gideon in his life.
AS FOR friendship... we can only hope more new friends waltz in.
