RICKY HAD decided that, though missing Gideon, he would audition for the musical.
This was probably the best thing to do to get his mind off of her (in the best way possible) and with everything going on in his own life, maybe this was the pick-me-up he needed.
New faces could be seen around the auditorium. Especially the blond that had spoken to the group earlier and the shorter girl who stood near Ashlyn.
Regardless of the newer faces, Ms. Jenn moved along like nothing was new.
She went over that the group was going to sing Belle together and that they would have solo auditions soon after.
Seb held his phone close as he spoke to Gideon on the other line.
"Stood right in between Hannah and Carlos. Kinda awkward."
Gideon held a small smile, "Just because Hannah and I aren't friends anymore doesn't mean you guys don't have to be friends."
"I know, but I just find it weird to interact with her sometimes."
Gideon held her phone in her hands, texting back and forth with Ricky. She was able to get FaceTime to work through her computer.
"I get that, but don't talk to her because of me. Don't talk to her because you want to. Besides her and Carlos are really close. It's only a matter of time that you two get close also."
Seb sighed, "By the way, she and like, a ton of new people auditioned."
It didn't surprise Gideon that new people came. After the seemingly successful musical from the first time around and the praise it not only gave the drama department, but Ms. Jenn it only seemed to make more people join regardless of getting a lead or not.
"I'm not surprised."
Seb sent her a smile. He looked up from his phone briefly and saw Lily, the new girl, and Hannah engrossed in conversation.
"Five minutes till solo auditions." Natalie shouted.
"I should probably let you go." Gideon said, "But can you try and record Ashlyn and Kourtney's audition? I helped her write the song and we were supposed to all do it together, but the musical was changed and... I moved, so."
