Is Eliyas a materialistic man without a drop of emotions?

No.. Absolutely not.

Even someone like him, with a lot of money, a lot of responsibility to bear, much ambition and dedication towards his work is still just an average man who cuddles to his wife at the end of the day and wants to be loved and surrounded with warmth.
Even when he has so much of confidence, when he's ruthless, and seems undefeated.. He's still just a man, since we're not godly complete, my almost perfect husband is no exception of course, he has many flaws and uncertainties.

Our visit to Azziz proved this fact to me again.. Meaning that my husband is sometimes led by his feelings, that he can be uncertain and needs to be reassured.

When we finally went out of the jail, Eliyas who was dragging me behind him finally stopped walking and he decided to act bossy with other people instead, his victim was the innocent protection team, he immediately summoned the team leader then issued endless orders, mainly he wanted the bodyguards to be more alert and provide me even more protection which was, in my opinion, quite unnecessary since they already were extremely alert and careful, if they were asked to top that even further they might as well put me in a metal armor!

But what was taking my full attention was not Eliyas's overreacted orders in fact, it was his hand that held mine instead.

His grasp was getting tighter with every passing moment to the point where my bones almost collided and my joints were about to pop, needless to say it, my hand was hurting so bad. Being the phobic person that i am handling pain as you know is not my best quality, surprisingly though, i totally ignored the pain and didn't even object nor tried to pull my hand out of his, such unexpected behavior of mine has no explanation, it just happened.

At the moment, I only kept thinking of Eliyas who acted very much unlike him self, he was even intervening with the protection team's work which is something he rarely does, and his whole composure was very perplexed and pale.

After watching him for a long time i finally decided to intervene, i called his name softly:

_"Eliyas."

He turned to look at me, with anxious eyes.
You see, i know this man enough to tell the difference in his gaze, as for the reason why i have to go to such extremes such as to examine his gaze to decode his feelings, it is of course attributed to his permanent cold expressionless face, i need to know what's behind his cold mask somehow and only his eyes can unveil that.
When looking at his eyes all i noticed that he couldn't look at mine properly, he avoided meeting mine actually.
So yes, it was clear.. My husband wasn't afraid of any external threat to us, he was simply afraid of "me".. His wife.

_"let's go" i suggested firmly and bossily.

He nodded, then he finally let go of my hand and led us to the car, once we sat inside i decided to act like a decent wife and reassure him that i didn't care that much about what Azziz said, which means there was no reason for him to worry.

I took a deep breath and genuinely said:

_"Eliyas, i already know that you're not the kindest person out there so my bottom line for you is very low, if you truly separated Azziz and I at the time then as long as you didn't threaten to kill someone then i'm willing to consider whatever reason that you had and whatever that you did, i know you're too smart to__"

_" i didn't separate you both for the purpose of taking you from him if that's what you think was my reason.. " He immediately interrupted me.

He looked out of the car pensively and continued:

_" Although i loved you dearly, i still had my pride to keep too Noursine."

I'm well aware of how prideful is Eliyas filladi, he's so prideful that for 3 years he never tried to contact me simply because in a fit of despair i kicked him out of my life! That's how mount everest high is his freaking pride!
