Namjoon's POV:
I was sitting in the cafeteria at the hospital Y/n works at. I was waiting for her with my mask and a hoodie. No one really noticed me, too immersed in their own worlds. Some people were crying. I don't know if they were happy or upset. As I look at my phone I reread the text Y/n sent 5 minutes ago

"On my way to the cafeteria"

I look up as I hear her laugh. It was adorable. She was talking to a little boy. I assume it was one of her patients. His parents were smiling and laughing with Y/n and the boy. I unconsciously smiled as she cared for the boy.

When she finished talking to the parents, she whispered something in the kid's ear, and winked at him. She walked over to me still smiling. I asked what she wanted to drink.

"Hot chocolate" she exclaimed

She attempted to give me money but I declined the offer.

"Oh come on." She whined "First I run out this morning, then I make you drive all the way here to meet up. The least I can do is pay for the drinks."

I rejected her idea once again explaining, "You left to help a sick child. I am also the one who wanted to meet up. Plus I'm a millionaire" I whisper the last sentence.

"I still feel bad" she stated while her lips formed a cute pout

"Aigoo" I said chucking lightly "I guess we'll just have to meet up again" I stated slightly smirking

I watched as a pinkish hue embraced Y/n's cheeks. As I turn to get the drinks I feel my cheeks heat up. "What is happening to me" I think to myself as I get her a hot chocolate and order an iced Americano for myself.

Y/n's POV:
When he came back to our table I ask when we would meet again. He was hesitant to answer which I noticed right away.

"Let me guess. Your job is stealing you this time?" I asked

"Unfortunately" he replied

"How about a week from tomorrow?" I question

"That works for me." Joon replied

"Great. I'll see you then"

(Right before they met at the cafeteria)
I don't know why, but I was so happy to see Namjoon. As I was walking one of my patients stopped me. He he could conquer the world. He thought that his IV drip was giving him super powers. I started to laugh. I started to tell his parents that he would be here for a few days just to monitor his condition. He was recovering quickly so he would most likely go home soon. I kneeled down and whispered in his ear, "When you go home, save the world with your new powers." I smiled and winked at him.

When I looked up, I saw Namjoon. He was wearing his mask and hoodie. No one was paying attention to him because they were worried for family. I walked over to him and we started talking.

(After he left)
I was paged to a trauma. I raced to the arriving patient to see what I was going to be dealing with. It was a little girl, no older than 6.
"5 year old female involved in an MVC*, GCS** is 3, intubated en route. We've given fluids and blood. We did CPR for 15 minutes." The paramedic said the last sentence in regretful tone. I started to frown knowing the most likely outcome. I took out my pen light and checked her eyes, there was no reaction of her pupils. I sighed. "Where are the parents?" I asked quietly. A resident looked for the parents in the system.

"They were rushed to surgery. Mom is with neuro*** and dad is with general****"

"Are they critical?"

"I'll find out"

I looked to the other resident and told her to page neuro.

10 minutes passed and I was told that the parents would most likely make it. They were out of the woods.

Neuro was had already arrived. "You're right. It's brain death." I sighed, upset from the news. "Is she an organ donor?" He asked. I didn't know. "That's okay. We have to wait 24 hours anyway. Do you want me to tell the parents when they are out of surgery?"

"No it's ok. I can do it"

He weakly smiled at me and patted my shoulder before walking away.

(After the parents' surgery)
The medical staff put them in the same room. I walked in calmly and told them I was their daughter's doctor. I explained to them what occurred. When I was finished, they didn't even blink. They then shocked me saying, "So?" I refrained from yelling at them as I was pissed.

" Will you allow organ donation?" I asked as calmly as I could. They told me that I could do whatever I wanted with her body. I immediately walked out and told the nurse that the girl was able to donate her organs when she was officially declared brain dead.

My shift was over so I walked to my car to go home. I broke down into tears as I thought about that poor girl.

* MVA- motor vehicle collision
