Chapter 15

Namjoon's POV:
I woke up to my baby still sleeping in my arms. I had lowered the temperature of the house from my phone to keep her cool. I was fine because she was basically radiating heat throughout the night.

I placed my hand back on her forehead. She was even hotter than yesterday. Her fever was getting worse and her complexion was looking more ghost like. I kept her in the bed while I went to the bathroom. I turned on the water and filled the tub. I made sure that it was cool water.

I went back to my room and picked up Y/n. I carried her to the bathroom and put her in the tub. I didn't take her clothes off. I didn't know if she would be comfortable with it. I know that I changed her last night but I kept my eyes on her's or the floor.

Hyung!! Y/n is getting worse.
I don't know what to do. She
is burning up. I put her in a
cool bath, but she is pale like
a ghost. I need help. What do
I do?

Joon, first you need to

I listened to Jin hyung. I called for an ambulance and made sure Y/n had new clothes on. I am so lucky that she brought extra clothes to my place. The paramedics arrived and put her on a stretcher. I followed them in my car. I didn't even bother to park when I saw her being moved into the ER.

"Unconscious female probably in her mid to late 20s. GCS of 7, has a high fever, BP* is 143/96. Patient also presents with labored breathing, and sever dehydration." After the paramedics finished informing the doctors of Y/n's condition, they left and the medical staff took over.

"I need 2 LR IVs** and cooling blankets. We need to lower her core temp and rehydrate her."

So many people were moving around Y/n. I felt so bad. I should have taken better care of her. If someone had the "world's worst boyfriend" award, it would be me.

"Sir, are you this woman's caregiver." I was asked by the doctor, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Yes. Is she okay?"

She pulled my over to the area where Y/n lie attached to catheters and cover with blue mats
"We have started her on chilled IVs and put cooling blankets around her. It should help bring her temperature back down to healthier level. It will take some time, but hopefully she will start turning around. All we can do right now is wait."

"Thank you for everything doctor. Thank you" I bowed repeatedly while she smiled. Soon she walked away, and I went to Y/n's side. I held her hand and talked to her.

"Baby, I need you to get better. You are so strong and I'm sorry that you have to deal with this. I promise to take better care of you from now on."

*BP- blood pressure

** LR IV- a mixture of sodium chloride, sodium lactate, potassium chloride, and calcium chloride in water. It is used for replacing fluids and electrolytes.
