Y/N POV:
"Come on Y/N/N. Daaaaanceeee!" My friend Daniella said.
It was a late Friday and her plus a few other friends managed to get me out of the house for dinner.
But, dinner turned into drinks,
That turned into karaoke bar,
Which turned into disco strip parlor.
Yeah.
Currently, I'm sat at a bar watching Daniella attempt to do a shoulder shimmy to the upbeat music blasting throughout the building. I couldn't help but laugh at her pathetic dancing skills, but I knew to keep my mouth shut unless I wanted my ass beaten.
"Y/N please? Can't you just let loose?" She begged, leaning onto my shoulder.
"Dani, you know I hate bars." I replied, sipping my cocktail.
"Yeah, but what about the guys? The hot guys!"
I rolled my eyes, "Dani I'm gay, remember?"
She sighed in defeat, letting her head hang low. I leaned back slightly to see her face, and it was revealed that she was pouting.
"Daniella, go have fun, I'll be fine here."
She looked up, the pout still present.
"I'm not leaving you all alone at this boring counter." She argued back, eying the greasy bartender who was feebly attempting to flirt with this ponytail chick in stiletto heels.
Thankfully, she was completely brushing him off.
"I'll be okay, I can take care of myself. Besides, I can call you if needed!" I said, smiling.
Daniella eyed my with worry.
"You sure?"
I glanced around, not seeing anything that would be a threat to me.
"Positive." I pipped, sipping my cocktail again.
She nodded slowly before grinning and running into the veil of sweaty people that I could only imagine was a grind circle. Chuckling to myself, I turned back to the counter to enjoy my drink and scroll through Facebook.
That went on for a few minutes, before I was interrupted by a large shadow over me. I looked up to see the greasy bartender from earlier.
I'm guessing she shoved him off
"Here." He said curtly, looking annoyed.
A drink was placed down in front of me, a cold mist radiating off of it. It was in a tall glass, and looked to be a jellyfish cocktail.
"Oh! I didn't order another drink.." I trailed off under his bored gaze.
"I know," He said gruffly, "The chick down there ordered it for ya', said ya' looked like you would enjoy it."
I raised an eyebrow and looked over to my right, meeting warm mocha colored eyes. It was the girl from before, who was heavily ignoring the bartenders flirtatious comments. She was watching me carefully, and when we made eye contact, she winked.
I slowly turned back to the drink, staring at it for a second. It didn't seem off, and it definitely did look delicious.
"Tell her I said thank you." I said, glancing up at the man.
He nodded before stalking off with a sass only my great grandmother could pull off. I snickered before picking up the drink and taking a sip. The flavors of blueberries and white sambuca hit my tongue, making me sigh.
