Y/N POV:
I smiled as everyone sat down for dinner.
It was a Friday night and I had invited my parents over to meet Ariana since they couldn't make it to the wedding. We decided to make spaghetti and meatballs for our food. Everything was going great until I needed the cheese.
"Daddy, can you pass the cheese?" I asked, addressing my dad.
What happened next made everything freeze. Both my father and Ariana reached for the cheese grater, each staring at the others hand.
"Shit." She whispered under her breath.
My dad eyed her suspiciously and handed me the container before going back to eat his food. The rest of the night was very awkward as both of my parents would glance at Ari weirdly every once and awhile. We all ended up watching a movie together, and halfway through I couldn't take the tension anymore.
"Dad can you stop watching her like she is a foreign being of existence. What she said was an accident, let it go." I said, glaring at him slightly.
He sighed and stood up, making his way to Ariana. He stuck his hand out and waited for her to shake it.
"I'm sorry. I just never thought about Y/N doing adult things." He said with his deep voice.
She shook his hand lightly and grinned, looking embarrassed. I rolled my eyes and rubbed her leg, giving her a warm smile. I leaned in and kissed her cheek, letting my lips linger for a few seconds.
"Besides, she can take care of herself. She is a navy badass after all." He said, smirking at me.
"Dad!" I scolded, putting my head in my hands.
Everyone laughed and I couldn't help but join in. Soon the movie was over and my parents bid their goodbyes, giving each of us tight hugs. Right as their car pulled away Ariana grabbed my waist and pulled me into her chest. She pressed her lips to mind and I instantly melted into it.
"Adult things, huh?" She whispered against my mouth.
I giggled and and hugged her tightly, burying my face in her sweater that I frequently steal. She pressed her nose into my hair and sighed, holding me close.
"I love you so much Y/N."
"Love you too, Daddy." I muttered, grinning sheepishly.
"Oh you are going to regret saying that." Ariana said in a seductive tone.
