(This is gonna be a four, maybe five, part story for y'all cause I'm not gonna be active this weekend. Ima try to update this and Grande Dog as much as possible today, tomorrow and Friday.)

Y/N POV:

I was sitting at my desk in my work building, finishing up old papers. It was late at night so no one was around, meaning I could work peacefully. The only sound that could be heard was the click of my keyboard and the scribble of pencil on paper.

I was finishing up my report on a murder case when a jingle of keys caught my attention. I glanced up to see Director Berlin, my boss, walking down from her office. She passed by my desk and noticed I was sitting in it and raised an eyebrow at me.

"Its 10:30 at night Y/N, what are you still doing here?" She leaned on the side wall that shunned away the field agents desks from the main offices.

I shrugged and turned my computer off, looking up at her. "I wanted to finish these papers so I didn't get behind on work. I'm gonna head home now though."

She smiled and nodded, "Good, get some sleep. I don't need my best agent passing out while handcuffing someone."

I grinned and threw my bag over my shoulder, walking with her to the elevator. She clicked the button and waited for the mundane ding of the mechanical platform. The doors slid open and we hopped in, pressing the first floor representative.

"So Y/N," Berlin said, turning to me. "How is the wife? You guys doing good?"

I smiled at the mention of Ariana and nodded. "Yeah we have been great. Just moved actually; to a newer, modern house."

She smiled and patted my shoulder. "Nice to hear. How long have y'all been married? 2 1/2 years right?"

I gave a thumbs up and smirked at her heavy southern accent. She always tried to be professional but sounding like she herded horses for a living kind of ruins that.

We talked about meeting up with each-other for lunch sometime so we can meet one another's respected half when I heard a weird sound. We were standing my Range Rover when a smell hit my nose. A putrid odor, consisting of gas, metal, and rubber.

I glanced around and spotted something that made my heart drop.

A bomb.

And it was ticking.

I was about to tell Berlin to run when I was shoved to the ground, away from the bomb. She then ran at it, pulling out her phone. But before she could do anything, it exploded.

Everything was a blurr.

I remember me screaming out in horror, and a scorching pain hitting my left thigh.

I tried to get to Berlin's lifeless form but I couldn't move.

I heard someone yell and soon enough, loud sirens hit my ears. But before I could do anything, it all went black.

2 hours later

I was sitting in the waiting room, my nonbandaged leg bouncing up and down. Nurses were walking around, occasionally asking if I was alright.

I would always smile and nod, but deep down I knew I wasn't ok. My boss just sacrificed herself to save me, and now she is in emergency surgery with no real chance of survival. I got up and was about to ask for the 6th time if she was ok when a door burst open and my very concerned wife ran in.

"Y/N?!" Ariana yelled, looking around frantically. She soon spotted me and sprinted at me, engulfing me in a tight hug. I sighed into her shoulder and hugged her back, telling her that I was ok. She relaxed and pulled back, cupping my face, and kissing me passionately.

"I'm so glad you are safe." She mumbled against my lips, "I was so scared when the police called me saying you were sent to the hospital. I called my mom, and Frankie, a-and.."

"Shhhh, Ari. I'm right here, I'm fine. Just a few bruises and a pierced thigh but I'll be ok." I said, trying to calm her down and stop her rambling. She immediately looked down at my leg and gasped when she saw how many bandages were wrapped around it. Ariana brushed her hand across it and looked back up at me.

I smiled, trying to reassure her, and pecked her lips, placing our foreheads together. Our cute moment was ruined when a doctor came out, calling my name.

"Y/N Grande?" I turned my attention to him and nodded. "Yeah, she's out of surgery but isn't awake. You can see her now."

I frowned but gave him a quick thanks, shuffling past him into Berlin's room.

I was speechless.

She was hooked up to wires and machines, and man, was she hurt. Her whole body was burned and beaten, and she had a cast on both her arm and leg. I backed up slightly and bumped into Ariana, who wrapped her arms around my waist.

"I'm so sorry Y/N. I wish I could help." She whispered in my ear.

I shuddered at the thought of how the bomb was meant for me. It was planted in my car, and was clearly waiting for me to leave.

"Y/N." I turned and looked at Ari, who was watching me carefully.

"Hm?"

"I asked what you wanted to do? Do you wanna stay or go home?"

I turned back to Berlin and pondered for a moment, before deciding what I was going to do. I looked back at my wife and said something that left her speechless.

"I'm gonna find that bastard, and I'm gonna kill him."
