Y/N POV:
I paced around my house, fearfully waiting for Ariana to return home.
Three days ago I got a message from my friend to check the news, and I was mortified when I did. A suicide bomber attacked the Manchester Arena where Ari was performing. I immediately tried to call her but she didn't answer, making me fear the worst. I was just about to fly out there when I received a text from Scooter saying that he is sending her home.
My head snapped up when I heard the door knob jingle. I quickly ripped it open and was met with a depressed looking Ariana. We stood there for a few minutes before she weakly opened her arms, silently asking for me to hug her. I immediately walked into her embrace and let her wrap her arms around me. I reached up and cupped her cheeks, peering at her face.
She looked so exhausted and worked. Her eyes were red and droopy, proving to me that she had been crying for days. There were dark circles under them and her hair was tied back into a messy ponytail. She looked like she had just given up.
I glanced at Ari's lips before locking eye contact with her. Slowly leaning in, I kissed her with all the love, care, and passion I could muster. Both of us had tears falling down our faces, making the kiss salty but we didn't care. When air became a problem I pulled away, still lightly pecking her lips to reassure her that I was here.
I wordlessly took her hand and brought her inside, shutting the door behind her. I helped her walk upstairs and to our bedroom, dropping her suitcase and bag on the floor when we got there. She fell on her stomach and groaned.
"Shhh Ari, just relax." I said softly, sitting on her thighs.
I pushed her shirt up and massaged her back, making sure to rub out her tense muscles. Soon I heard her soft snores and got up to give her space and rest. I went downstairs and grabbed the ingredients for a strawberry mache salad.
Time Skip
I grabbed the tongs and started tossing the salads, mixing all the ingredients.
I was about to get the apple cider vinegar for a stronger taste when it was placed next to me and arms wrapped around my waist. I smiled slightly and turned to see a sleepy Ariana. I reached up and brushed my hands across her cheeks, cupping her face.
"Hey beautiful." I said, kissing her lips lovingly.
She kissed me back and rested her forehead on mine when I pulled away. My smiled turned to a frown when I say her lip tremble and tears started to cascade down her face. I hugged her tightly and buried my face in her neck, her doing the same. She shook against my body and soaked my shirt as I coaxed her to cry. After a few minutes she lifted her head up and kissed my cheek wearily.
"Thank you." She whispered, leaning into me.
"For what?" I questioned softly, rubbing her spine.
"For being there for me, for giving me comfort and love."
I nodded and turned around slightly to grab a bowl of salad for her.
"I made your favorite, you wanna eat now? It may be good to get something in your system." I said, holding it out to her.
She smiled and took it from me, slipping from my grip to sit at the kitchen island. I made myself my own bowl and sat next to her, handing her a fork. We ate in peaceful silence, as my arm was hooked in hers while she had her hand on my leg. My thumb absentmindedly rubbed her forearm, probably giving her some comfort.
"So, is it good?" I asked, glancing at her.
Ariana laughed lightly and I smiled wide, happy to hear her beautiful voice.
"It's great honey, I love it."
"I'm glad. I missed you so much Ari."
She paused and hung her head, dropping her fork on the counter. I turned to face her and she did as well, meeting my 'your color' eyes with her soft brown ones.
"I'm so sorry Y/N." She said, her eyes becoming glossy.
"For? You didn't cause that Ariana, those terrorists did." I said, taking her hand in mine.
"But-" "No buts. Look at me."
Ari looked up and met my eyes.
"When I saw what happened on the news I freaked out. I was so worried about you that I called like 80 times, but you never answered and I got more scared. Three days I waited for you to come home to me."
I paused, taking a breath before continuing.
"It's no your fault that I was scared, it's not your fault your show was bombed, and it's not your fault those people died. Blame the fuckheads that decided to be psychotic. Please don't run yourself down! There is a difference between grieving and dwelling, and I can't bare to see you kill yourself."
When I was done speaking I was in tears, shaking uncontrollably. Ariana instantly pulled me into her arms and hugged me close. She whispered nice things in my ear and rocked us back and forth. I calmed down and kissed her shoulder repeatedly, trying to relax her as well.
"I know this isn't easy Ari, but we will get through it together, ok? Like always." I said, cupping her cheeks yet again.
She smiled and kissed my nose, letting her lips linger.
"I love you so fucking much Y/N."
"I love you too, holy shit I love you more."
"I love you most, baby."
