17: Power Outage?

I'm so behind on chapters, I'm going to have to speedrun these chapters. Anyway I'm really tired but it's 7:00 pm and I haven't done any progress for tomorrow's chapters so I'm doing going to nae nae on this real quick.

"It's alright." said Ranboo laughing, I slowly put down my hands from my face. Ranboo realized he had his arms wrapped around my waist and quickly let go.

I slowly got up from laying down.

"I don't even remember sleeping in that position." I said confused, Ranboo looked around nervously.

"You kinda pulled me to lay down." Ranboo said, I covered my face in embarrassment. Ranboo laughed a bit.

"But don't worry about it, you were probably tired." Ranboo said softly. I nodded, still blushing.

I opened my phone to see it was already pretty late, it was about 8:00 pm. And the sun had already gone down. I didn't even realize how fast the time flew by.

Ranboo caught me off guard by moving a strand of hair off my face, I blushed like crazy.

I was about to say something before the lights cut out. The TV stopped playing, and both Ranboo and I jumped. "What the fvck?" I said, Ranboo looked at me and shrugged. He got up to turn the lights back on.

But they wouldn't turn back on. "Is it a power outage?" I said, Ranboo nodded.

"I think so, but I that's weird I didn't hear anything about a power outage?" said Ranboo looking at me, I shrugged.

"Do you have a flashlight?" I asked, Ranboo pulled out his phone and turned on his flashlight. I could finally see him much better now. But it was still pretty much pitch black in here.

"You want to check my house? I might have power?" I asked, Ranboo shook his head.

"No because the street lights aren't on." said Ranboo, I nodded. "Well shit, what now?" I asked, Ranboo shrugged. I noticed my phone was going to die.

"My phones at 10%." I said, Ranboo checked his phone.

"Mines at 5%, shoot what are we going to do know?" asked Ranboo, I looked around to see if there was anything we could use for light. But there was nothing.

"Well, we should just stay close." said Ranboo, I blushed at the thought. "Yeah, stay close." I agreed. I was still bright red.

Oh come on, don't think about this now. Why am I such a hopeless romantic, I was never like this. Even if you do like him he probably doesn't even think of you that way. Just get yourself together. I thought to myself, Ranboo was still trying to find something.

"I found a portable charger." Said Ranboo, he plugged in his phone.

"Great it's dead." said Ranboo looking at the flashing red lights on the charger. I sighed.

"Guess, I'll just sit here." said Ranboo, I was still thinking about if I liked him or not. I inhaled sharply to try and comfort myself.

"Hey Ranboo?" I asked, he whipped his head around to listen to me. I nervously played with my hands. I tried not to bite my nails.

"Yeah?" He said sweetly. I blushed I tried to make it quick with the limited amount of light we had from Ranboo's dying phone.

"What do you think of me?" I asked, Ranboo hesitated.

"I think you're great, I mean you're funny, pretty. And a great friend." Said Ranboo sweetly. I blushed even harder.

"Really?" I asked, Ranboo nodded.

"Well, there's been something around in my thoughts lately and I've been meaning to tell you." I said, Ranboo looked at me. I could tell he was nervous like I was.

"I think.. It sounds really stupid, but I think I like you." I said, I inhaled rethinking what I had just said. Ranboo was blushing.

"I- I- I think I like you too." said Ranboo nervously. I looked at him, still bright red.

My heart pounded faster than it did in my dreams. I wanted to lean in, but I had never kissed anyone in my life. But I took a chance.

My heart began to pound out of my chest as our faces grew closer. And as our faces drew near, I couldn't help but look at Ranboo's eyelashes, which tickled my cheeks as we got closer. Finally, our lips came together. Although the dim light from Ranboo's phone had gone out, I barely noticed it. It was a gentle and sweet kiss. Still, unfortunately, it came to an end, and despite the fact that we were already separated, I could still feel his lips on mine.

But that didn't stop the ensuing embarrassment that was to come next.

"Aha.. I'm sorry what do you do after your first kiss?" I said putting finger guns up. I was still blushing and so was Ranboo, he was star struck.

"I- I.. I I'm sorry give me a minute. I'm going to go get water." Ranboo said getting up slowly, I was confused but watched as he stepped out the pitch black room.

I heard a faint "WHOOOOOOO" come from the other room, I had to stifle a laugh. I too was extremely excited, it was a feeling I really couldn't describe. It was like I wanted to yell in joy and throw up at the same time. My stomach made me giggly and I could barely feel my own face. I smiled to myself like an idiot.

Ranboo came back, I laughed as he awkwardly sat down back next to me. I looked at him, I still didn't know what to do.

"What now?" I asked, Ranboo shrugged.

"I have no idea, I've never kissed a girl before." Ranboo said, I nodded.

"Aren't you glad it was me who was your first?" I said jokingly poking Ranboo's side. He laughed.

"You could say that." Ranboo said, I laughed and grabbed the pillow next to me. And almost on que the lights turned back on.

"Well would you look at that. Now have you ever kissed a girl with the lights on?"
