Chapter 26 - Some Answers

Ali's POV
Friday

Daniel didn't come to school yesterday or today, something has to be going on because Ethan wasn't here either. Something serious. I thought I should back off a little. I left my phone home on purpose 'cause I know I'll be staring at it all day. Right now its fifth period, art, the teacher told us that we should take a field day and just draw what we feel. I'm debating what I should draw...Grace decided to draw the beach.

Daniel's POV
Yesterday(Thursday)

On Wednesday I found out my grandmother died. She had a natural death, but it's hard for me since she was a second mom to me, she even looked after Ethan a long tme. I know all Ali was trying to do was to help out my family's situation, but just to see my father smile yetserday...it put a pain in my heart. Of coarse when it comes to money, it seems like all his problems blown away.

I didn't get home until late last night due to a family meeting yesterday. I didn't bother to respond to Ali's text messages because I was so tired.

Basically today Ethan and I took the day off from school to just take everything in. My father was very joyful today since he paid off that company and he's in charge of funeral. He seriously pisses me off.

Friday

Today was a repeat of the other until my mom came and talked to me.

"So Daniel." My mom says aswe are eating lunch.

"Yes." I murmur.

"When's the last time you talked to Alisyn?" She asks, now everyone's eyes are on me.

"The last time I saw her." I state.

"That poor girl." Dana says as she shakes her head.

"Daniel that girl has done nothing but to make you happy and this is how you repay her? I mean come on! You need stop being stubborn. She's thinking that she has done wrong and probably has thoughts of you breaking up with her!" Mom blurts out.

"Talk to her bro." Ethan chimes in.

"I could never break up with Ali, if we broke up I don't what I'll do, this has been the year I smiled the most, thanks to Ali." I say thinking aloud.

"Then why are ignoring her? Have a heart." My dad decides to say. For some reason it got under my skin.

"Don't tell me to have a heart. If anyone needs to have a heart it's you." I said turning to him.

"I love Ali very much and would do absolutely anything for her!" I yell. It brings a smile to everyone's face.

"Now that's what's up." Ethan said while clapping.

"You said you loved Ali eeep!" My sister cheerfully shouts.

Oh well, I love Ali then.

Ali's POV

When I got home I was exhausted! Today was tough since I had a lot running through my mind. I told Grace to go homed since I was destined to get in contact with Danny. I don't know what I did wrong. I know he didn't want me to get involved worth his family crisis, but it was for the better. Time to antagonize Danny.

I went upstairs to my bedroom and picked up my phone. I saw two messages from Danny!

Danny

My heart literally dropped when I read the last part. Poor Danny! I know exactly how he feels.

Danny

The text was at three-thirty and now it's five-fifteen. Talk about lateness. Then a knock on the door pulls me out my thoughts. I rush downstairs and fling the door open and give Danny the biggest hug I can.

"I-" He starts but I interrupt him.

"Shh. I know exactly how you feel." I admit and judging by his none facial expression he knows what I'm talking about, since it involves Kendrick.

"I shouldn't have gave you the cold shoulder. You have bend your back over for me." He states and I smile.

"So have you in many ways." I say and hug him tighter.

YAY FOR SOME ANSWERS!
So we had this social studies debate to do and it took up a lot of our time. Ugh. But next chap will be very interesting as well. Or i think this chap was interesting.
