Chapter 36 - This Is Too Much

Kendrick's POV
Friday

Now I know you all might be confused, but I'll explain it all. So you know Ali's mom and dad, Clara and Andrew right? They seem as if they have the perfect relationship right? Let's just say Andrew has been doing naughty things, you'll be surprised.

Three weeks ago...
So I just got work at Red Lobster. Bet you didn't know ya boy got a job! Well, my anger management counselor encourages me to get a job so I can deal with people with different temperaments.

"Hey Annie!" I greet as signed in.

"Hey Ken, it's really busy tonight." She sighs as she looks around.

"Yeah, well it's Friday and all." I sigh as well. Tonight I work apart of the left side of the restaurant. I greet people and take their orders. There has been a couple of bitches in here with nasty attitudes but I've been keep my cool. Which is good for my part and theirs.

After I drop off table nine's entrées, two men came in holding hands. I guess they're a couple. I'm not prejudice about homosexuality or anything, but it's just that one of the men looks really familiar.

I went to the beverage area to see a frantic looking Annie.

"Annie what's the matter?" I ask concernedly.

"My son seems to have a stomach virus, he's throwing up everywhere! So I have to go pick him up from daycare." She says in a stressed tone.

"Oh my god! Go take of Tyler, I'll cover you." I say.

"Oh Ken you're a life saver, right I'm waitressing tables seven through ten. Ten seems about ready for their receipt and I have finished making eight's beverages." She hands my the plate of their beverages.

"Alright bye Annie see on Monday." I wave and she waves back to me.

I went over to table eight and handed them their beverages and told them I'll be right. I went and finished up with table ten, and then came back eight.

"Sorry about that, it's really busy tonight. Can I take your order?" I say and look at both of the men in the eye. I look to left first then I turned to the guy on the right and I couldn't believe my eyes. Ali's father. Andrew. On a date with someone other than Clara. I try to think that they're on some buisness meeting, but they did come in holding hands and shit.

"I'll have the Shrimp Alfredo, what do you want honey?" The guy on the left began and my chin dropped to the floor. What the fuck? 'Honey'? I'm really trying my best to mind my own business, but I can't because I know damn well Andrew has a wife at home that's probably wondering where he is. Mm, mm, mm. I took down his order anyway.

"And you?" I ask, Andrew hesitates for a moment but then speaks up.

"Um Ken, can we talk for a moment?" Andrew asks.

"Sure."

"You know him honey?" The guy on the left asks.

"Yeah he's my daughter's ex boyfriend. I'll be right back Sean." Andrew says getting up. We go over to where the restrooms are.

"Look Ken I know what you saw-"

"Are you serious? How can you do this to Clara? How can you hurt her?!" I whisper/yell.

"You shouldn't be the one talking." He snaps at me.

"Hey hey hey, I know what I did to Ali was messed up, but I was young and stupid. But this, this is a little extreme!" I exclaim and he shoots me a look and I sigh.

"Look regardless if it's a man or woman, you're stilling cheating on Clara. Don't you ever think about the after affects?' I sigh rubbing my forehead.

"No, I guess not. But I love Sean." He admits and disapproving look creeps on my face.

"Okay, think about you're daughters! What's Ali and Jesianna gonna think when they find out their father has been cheating on their mother?" I question. I can relate since my dad decided to cheat on my mom as well.

"Look please don't tell them, please." He begs. This is ridiculous.

"Okay." I breathe out. I'm not good at keep secrets especially one like this.

"Okay let's just get back and take your order." I suggest and we head back.

This is so ridiculous! I can believe he's doing this to own wife! To Ali and Jesianna... After I gave them dessert, I over heard them talking while I was walking pass by them.

"So that Ken guy I was talking to...yeah he's in anger management, he really needs it." Andrew says. I couldn't really all of it because I walking pass them. Alright that's how you wanna play Andrew? We can play like that. I'm gonna get more information about these two when I have my next session. Then, I'm gonna go to Ali's house and lay it all out on the table.

Present...
Yup that's how it all went down. I still can't believe it. So before I left work that night, this Sean guy decided to give me a disgusted face. So I came right over to him and let him know what was on my mind. I basically called him a homewrecker and a hoe. Then, Andrew and I started to go at it. I told him that I'm gonna tell Ali one way or another.

Why do I keep on getting drawn back to this family?

So right now we're having a quick break in the session, so I went over to my buddy Chad and started to ask him some questions for deeper understanding.

"So I heard you're dad works with Andrew Brookes." I start.

"Oh that gay guy?" He bluntly asks, my chin drops to the floor once again. Oh god.

"Yeah, didn't you know he has kids and a wife?" I ask.

"Well yeah, but only my dad knows about his secret." Chad says putting emphasis on 'secret'.

"How do you know Andrew?" Chad asks.

"He's my ex girlfriend's dad." I explain, and Chad shakes his head.

"Well damn." Chad chuckles.

"Do you know how long they've been dating?" I ask.

"About eight months." He says. Longer than Danny's and Ali's relationship.

"Wait how you know all this?" I ask curiously.

"Well, my dad is the only one that Andrew can trust." Chad shrugs.

"Thanks man." I say and walk away.

This is too much for me! Absolutely too much! Oh well, I can't wait until I see the look on Ali's face.

A/N: PLOT TWIST!! Sarah and I were debating if Ali's dad should be bisexual or not haha. Also for some reason the italics thing isn't working...oh well
