Chapter 19

"Ang sipag mo talaga! Oh siya, pwede ka nang umuwi." they told me.

"Thank you po. You can call me if you need me anytime. I'm free." I fixed my stuff and greeted all of them on my way out. My head was still aching because of the alcohol last night. I couldn't really remember anything. Alam kong bumagsak nalang ako sa kama ko at nakatulog.

I texted Luca how he got home but he just told me not to worry about it. I got to my unit pretty early since there were only little patients during my shift. Sumabay na rin ako sa lunch ng mga kasama ko doon kaya busog ako pag-uwi. They gave me some things to do through a computer and all I need to do is send it to them after.

I just sat on my bed for the rest of the day doing it. It's already dark when I finished it and sent it to them. Bigla namang may nag-door bell kaya binuksan ko 'to. I thought I forgot about delivery but I don't remember buying anything. 

Lumitaw sa harapan ko si Kobie na may dalang malaking ngiti.

"Hey." bati niya.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, leaving the door open for him to enter my unit.

"I was going to text you and invite you to watch a movie but I happened to be near your condo. I'm sorry for appearing at this hour." he looked at his watch.

"O-Oh?" I froze and looked around for my stuff. I looked back at him. I feel bad if he came here for nothing. "Wait here." I smiled and fixed myself. A movie, he said? I took out the appropriate clothes for the occasion.

I was running across my unit and I could hear him laugh. I'm struggling, okay! How dare he laugh at my situation. Hindi ko rin naman inakala na pupunta siya dito. I was looking for the right pair of socks because I would often wear different kinds! I'm not the cleanest person ever since I graduated but I'm trying! Lagi na kasi akong nagmamadali.

When I finished I walked to him and tapped his shoulder while he was watching something on my TV. Napalingon siya sa akin at napanganga.

"Is this a date?" he laughed but still not removing his eyes on me.

I looked away and smiled. I'm giving a chance.

"Why not?" I turned around and took a small bag to fit my phone in. "Let's go?"

He walked with me outside my unit and took his car when we arrived downstairs. He looked extra stunning when he brought his car's windows down and gave me a smile. I opened the shotgun seat's door and sat before he drove off.

"Are you into horror movies or romance movies?" he suddenly asked while watching the road carefully.

"I can watch both." 

"Really? That's good. May alam akong romance pero horror." tumawa kaming dalawa. "How's work, by the way? Is everything alright?" he looked at me now.
