"Ate Ry," napatalikod ako kay Selene nang magsalita siya. She was holding her bags and she had a big smile on her face.

"Where are you going?" nagtataka kong tanong at sabay lumapit sa kanya. I became very worried. Does she feel uncomfortable with me now? "Is there any problem?"

"No, I'm.. uh. I passed my exams!" she exclaimed. That was really good news! Napayakap siya sa akin. "And because of that, I decided to leave your unit, Ate. Medyo feel ko sagabal ako dito but don't worry! I found a place to live in."

"What? Hindi ka sagabal dito. I'm sorry you felt that way. I really have no problem with you, Selene." I assured her. She just smiled and nodded. I guess she really felt like leaving since she accomplished her goals. "Are you sure?" I asked.

"Mhm. I will visit you from time to time! I really don't want to add to your stress, Ate. I'll be one call away, though." She said walked past me to put her shoes on. "Darating na rin si Kuya Kobie, Ate. He'll fetch me."

"O-Oh. Alright, then." I sat on the chair while watching her tie her shoes.

"Thank you for accompanying me, Ate Ry. I passed the exams because of your company. I felt your support." She was almost whispering. Napangiti ako.

"That was all you. You passed because you worked hard for it." I walked to the kitchen and packed her food. After she tied her shoes, she waited for me to pack the food. She leaned on the kitchen counter. "But I'd like to thank you for accompanying me as well. I'm usually with my cousins and friends but ever since we graduated, we're all busy with our own lives." I said.

"I can feel your loneliness.." she said which made my head turn. "No matter how many smiles you put on your face, I can still feel it. And I'm afraid it's because what's in front of you isn't for you, Ate."

What's in front of me isn't for me? What did she mean by that?

"In front of me?" I asked, confused.

"It's like you're longing for something. Maybe it is your cousins, friends, or maybe someone else." she shrugged. "I really hope you find true happiness, Ate. I know my words won't help you much, but I know that you'll figure it all out soon." As soon as I tied the plastic with her food in it, I walked nearer to her and gave it.

"Sel, you're full of wisdom." I chuckled. "I feel you've known me more than I tried knowing myself. But when I do accomplish that, I'll let you know."

She nodded excitedly. "I'll wait for Kuya Kobie downstairs. Thank you so much, Ate. Can I call you when I need help?"

"Of course! I'm also one call away."

She left with a smile on her face. I watched her pull her bags and walk to the nearest elevator. As soon as I shut the door, my phone started ringing.

"Hello?" inipit ko 'yon sa leeg at tenga ko habang nililigpit ko ang mga kalat.
