Crossing Through A Valiant Heart (ON-GOING)

Chapter 30

"Napag-isipan mo na ba?" Ivy let out a heavy sigh but still managed to smile.

Kauuwi ko lang galing London at nagpakita agad ako kay Ivy. It feels like it's been a while and I missed home but at the same time, my journey did not feel terrible. In fact, I enjoyed staying there and I loved everything about the country.

"I'm going for it." I leaned on her couch and I can feel my back hurt from carrying a heavy backpack.

"R-Really?" her eyes widened like she couldn't believe it. "That's good news. So may one month ka pa here?" 

"Mhm. I'll do my best and come back here." I decided to give myself goals to motivate myself. "I made a journal and I planned things. Do you want to see it?" I took a notebook out of my bag and gave it to her.

She looked puzzled and slowly started turning the pages. "You seem pretty excited. Hindi ka naman ganito nung una mo akong kinausap." She was still flipping the pages.

I did completely change my mind. If it wasn't for that 3 days trip, I wouldn't have made a decision yet.

"My flight's tomorrow. When's yours?" He casually asked while we were walking around. It is my second day here in London and I have no one to be with so I asked him if he was available. Buti na lang at hindi siya busy.

"Tomorrow, too. I'm trying to make the most of it here and visit my next hospital."  I didn't notice that I slipped but I don't think he'll care, anyway. Napatingin ako sa kan'ya nang maramdaman kong napatitig siya sa akin. "Hm?"

He shook his head like he was just caught off guard by what I said.

"Next hospital, huh? Congratulations." He's not even asking how and why?

"I.. Well, I have not completely decided yet. I will have to stay here for a long time. It feels like everyone else forced themselves to let me go." I sighed and I started walking slower because my feet were starting to hurt.

I noticed that he slowed down a little, too.

"They did that because this is a great opportunity. I'm sure you'll do well so don't stop yourself from going if that's what you're worried about."  I shook my head after he said that.

"I'm worried about the people I'll be leaving." And I was worried about you coming back and never seeing me again. Gusto ko 'yon idagdag pero hindi ko magawa.

He nodded as he understood me. "What would you want for your family?"

"Someone to replace me for the time being. I want reassurance and I want to make sure that they're all okay." 

"I'll do that for you."

Napahinto ako sa paglalakad. He'll.. do it for me? Ano ba pumasok sa isip niya at naisip niyang gawin 'yon para sa akin?
