Chapter 49: double date

Everyone has been really accepting of Bucky and Steve's relationship and I can tell how much it means to both of them. I think it especially means a lot to Bucky since he finally has a family. His whole life he's been on his own besides me who he ended up losing for years. I'm just happy he finally found his home and his way back to me. All I want is for him to be happy.

I'm sitting in my room reading when Tony enters the room. He sits behind me on the bed and wraps his arms around me. "Hello my love" he says into my ear and kisses my cheek. I smile without looking up from my book, "Hi honey, what are you up to today?" He takes the book out of my hand and saves the page before sitting it down so he had my full attention. "That's what I came in here to talk to you about actually" he says.

I lay my head back on to his shoulder and look up to him, "Do you have something in mind for us then?" He grins down to me, "I was thinking we could go on a double date with Steve and your brother. It could be a nice thing for all of us." Even though it's been awhile, Tony's relationship with Rogers never really went back to normal after what happened with him and I.

"I'm surprised you thought of this. You and Steve haven't been talking much for awhile and you've never really bonded with Bucky" I mention. "That's why I want to do this. The thing with Rogers was awhile ago, I think it's time for us to go back to how we were. He was a good friend to me. Bucky is your brother and I want to get to know him, he means a lot to you" he explains. That warmed my heart in a way that words can't explain.

I sit up and turn my body towards him and sit on his lap, "I would love nothing more than to do that then honey." I give him a kiss and pull away to get up. He pulls he back towards him and kisses me more passionately. He lays back so I'm laying above. We continue for a moment before I pull myself away and stand up, "we can't go on a date if we stay here all day babe." He groans and stand up with me. I grin and take his hand in mine, leading the way to Bucky's room.

I knock on the door and hear both Steve and Bucky respond to come in. I open the door and they're cuddling on the bed watching a movie, god they're so cute it hurts. "Hey, we were wondering if you wanted to go on a double date with Tony and I later?" I lean against the door frame. They look at each other as if trying yo read the others mind to see what they were thinking.

Both of them shrug and look back to us. "Sounds good, how about in 2 hours? We're gonna finish this movie then get ready" Bucky suggests. "That works perfectly. We can do a lot in two hours" Tony smirks over to me. I elbow him in the stomach and he bends over with a wheeze. Steve and Bucky both laugh and I roll my eyes, "well we'll see you two later then." I close the door and walk back to my bedroom.

I turn around to see Tony still holding on to his stomach by their door. "Why are you staring at me liked that?" he questions with his eyes narrowed on me. "Oh I'm just wondering why you aren't following me in here, we can do a lot in two hours" I raise my eyebrows. It's like he was healed instantly and runs towards me. He picks me up over his shoulder and takes us into the room before closing the door.

"Wait, where's Wanda?" I ask, not wanting her to walk in. "She went to he park with Peter, they should be gone awhile" he says and lays me on the bed. He takes off his shirt as I wiggle out of my pants. He lays on top of me on the bed and smirks while looking down my body, "have I ever told you how lucky I am to be with such a beautiful woman?" I smile up to him and give him a kiss, "I'm not sure, maybe say it one more time."

Authors note: still not used to smug so comment some suggestions on wording cuz I don't know what words to use for it. For now just use your imagination lol sorry

Two hours later we're all dressed and ready to go. We meet Bucky and Steve in the living room and try to decide what to do. "We could always go grab some food and then go by an ice cream shop and walk around town" I offer. "Ooo can we please get shawarma???" Tony begs. I shrug, "whatever you want babe." The rest come into the living room. "Where are you four going?" Quill asks.

"We're gonna go on a double date, we'll be back soon though" Bucky says. We all get into Tony's car and drive to the shawarma place down a few blocks. If I'm being honest, it was pretty good. Tony never shuts up about this place since the team went awhile back and he loved it. We stop by an ice cream parlor and walk around for a bit before deciding to go homes

We arrive back and all walk up the stairs together. "Thank you for this guys. It really means a lot that both of you wanted to do this. Especially you Tony" Steve says honestly. I smile, "Believe it or not, it was actually his idea this morning." Tony his my arms, "That was between us Gen." I roll my eyes as Steve and Bucky both smile at him. "You're a good man Tony.

I'm really happy my sister found you" my brother grins. Seeing the lm connect like this is amazing. I never thought I would have a family member connect with him like this since my parents were never around and I didn't know if Bucky.
