When Nagito woke up from surgery, the first thing he noticed was the pain in his left arm. It felt like someone had ripped his muscles out, torn them up a bit, and then shoved them back inside his arm. Nagito blinked open his eyes to see Jane looking at him. "Oh good, you're awake." She said, relief in her voice.

"Thank you." Were the first words out of Nagito's mouth. "Thank you so

much."

"Anytime." Jane smiled. Then she looked at Nagito's left arm. "You're going to be in a sling for a while, but it'll heal soon because it seems you heal rather quickly." Nagito nodded. Jane then dangled a plastic baggie in front of Nagito's face. In the bag was the tiny microchip. The goddamned chip that led the School right to him, was finally out. Nagito nodded again. "You're going to let me destroy it, right?" He asked.

"Yes, you can tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?"

"You need to recover!"

"I need to dispose of that chip before they come here again!"

"Nagito," Jane said with a reassuring tone. "It'll be alright. The man didn't know you were here. He was just searching for you. The only thing he knows is that you're in the area. It'll be fine for a day." That made Nagito feel better. He took a deep breath to try to calm himself down. So it appears he was half right. The electricity had hindered the chip after all. It didn't disclose his exact location, just gave a general area.

Nagito quickly sat up but immediately regretted it as blood suddenly rushed to his head, making his vision fuzzy. Jane grabbed his shoulders to steady him. "Careful," she warned. "You're going to be woozy for a while. Do you want to rest?"

"I've just been knocked out for a couple of hours, I don't need rest."

"Drugs don't provide your body proper rest."

"I don't care. I promised I would tell you everything." And he was going to keep that promise. No matter what. So Jane helped him off the operating table. His left arm was in a sling, but it really didn't bother him. Jane helped Nagito back into his bedroom, where Hajime was waiting patiently.

"Hey! How did it go?" Hajime asked as Jane helped Nagito into the bed.

"Fine, I got the microchip out without any casualties," Jane said. Nagito snuggled down into the blankets, finding comfort in their warmth. He was going to need as much comfort and warmth as possible when he told them where he came from. He didn't really want to relive his terrible experiences at the School, but that wasn't exactly what he was worried about. He was worried about Jane and Hajime's reactions. To them finding out just how freakish he was, and finding out the horrors that the School did to Nagito, finding out how messed up Nagito was.

"That's a relief." Hajime sighed. Then he looked at Nagito. "How are you feeling?"

"As fine as I can be," Nagito said simply.

"Well, are you sure you want to do this now? I mean you still have some recovery. I won't be mad if you need a few days to-"

"No, I'm doing this now." Nagito interrupted. He was determined. He had made a promise. He would stick to it. Hajime looked at the two standing Hinatas. "You two... might want to sit down for this." Hajime sat in his usual chair next to Nagito's bed, and Jane sat at the foot of the bed. Nagito took a few deep breaths and kept telling himself that it would be alright, that his past wouldn't change how they thought about him, trying to psych himself up. But soon he realized that no matter how much he stalled, it wouldn't make this any better.

So Nagito sighed and began. "I guess I'll start from the, very beginning. Umm..." How was he supposed to explain how he was made in simple terms? "Well... as you could probably tell, I'm half-human, half-bird. I wasn't... born normally. Instead, I was raised in a lab and had my DNA messed with by a bunch of different doctors. So, my parents aren't dead. I just don't have any. Never did."
