George's POV
It was finally the day that I have been dreading. I couldn't sleep at all last night, Clay stayed with me for most the night. Eventually he fell asleep holding me in his arms, which gave me time to think.
To think about how everyone at that funeral may perceive me now. I have made the decision to just own up to it; I am in love with this criminal. Even though I couldn't sleep, Clay didn't make it easier. He kept moaning in his sleep, and gripping me softly.
There was one point where he dragged his arm between my legs, I rolled away from him with a heated face. How could he make me crave him at a time like this? I almost hated how much control he has over me. I didn't want to wake him up because there's no use having both of us be groggy.

The morning came and we took a shower together. Nothing too interesting happened, he did ask me if I was feeling it and I said not now. He respected me. I realize, this is my worst. He is going to see the real me, not the flirtatious and naked me. We got dressed in suits with matching ties, the way my mom wanted to see me when she accepted me and Nick.
"Georgie?" I hear Clay and snap out of my thoughts,
"Yes Clay?"
"I asked if you're okay."
"Oh... haha.. yeah." I said and looked down at the ground. I feel two arms reach around me and pull me in,
"You'll survive this. I promise." Clay said, making my tears flow, "I got you something by the way." I wipe my eyes and he holds my hands guiding me to the bed and sitting me down. He hands me a small box off the nightstand.
I open it and see a yellow keychain. On one side is a picture of me and him kissing, on the other side it had the words I love you engraved on it with our initials. He took it from me and attached a key to it,
"I think that it's time you had your own set of keys." He said handing them back. I smiled and kissed him, taking the keys and hopping off the bed.
"We should probably get going if we're going to make it on time." I say stuffing a bunch of tissue into my pockets.
"Right." He said back and we were on our way.

We arrived at the venue Nick picked out. It was a classy mansion that was normally used by furniture stores to stage room ideas, and some minor films were shot here. The more I looked at the magazine like decor and the people dressed like they are at a formal party, the more of the life I left behind seemed to catch-up to me.
My mother's ashes was in the formal living room of the mansion. She got them swirled into a fancy crystal ball; I guess she always was trying to predict others lives, it's almost fitting.
"Wow! Hello Miss! I see where George gets his looks from." I hear Clay say to the crystal.
"Clay, that kind of low grade humour isn't tolerated here," I said, then got up on my tippy toes and whispered in his ear, "but good one haha." I said and we both pulled away from each other a bit and laughed.
"George, if you don't mind, I'm going to go meet some of these people. Care to introduce me?"
"No.. actually if you don't mind, I think I need a moment."
"Take your time." He said squeezing my hand and then letting go, running off to meet some of my folks.
I turned back to my mother and made sure no one was around. "Hey mom! I know you won't respond, but I got back together with Clay. I know you never approved of him, but if you could see how happy he makes me I'm sure you would understand. He's changed mom." I looked back to see Clay talking up a couple of my cousins.
"Also you were wrong about Nick. You said he loved me, he broke up with me a week before you..." I felt tears forming, "I wish you could tell me I'm making a mistake. I love you mom."
"George?" I hear a voice say to me, I turn and see my dad.
"Hey da-"
"Where have you been for the past two weeks?"
"Um.. at my boyfriend's cabin."
"Nick doesn't own a lake house."
"Yeah. He broke up with me." My dad laughed slightly,
"The cherry on top of a great month hey?" I laughed a bit as well,
"Yeah." My dad got me some of my mom's favourite champagne and sat down with me on the couch. I could see Clay interacting with my uncles; everyone seemed to like him.
"So, you got a new boyfriend?"
"Uh yeah."
"Who? Did you bring him."
"Yeah I brought him, he's right over there." My dad took a sip of his drink before he spotted Clay and did a spit take.
"ABSOLUTELY NOT!"
"Dad plea-"
"Do you know what this man did to us?!?!"
"Yes, but dad I-"
"I thought you finally had some sense boy! You're lucky your mom isn't here, she would flip!"
I started crying.
"George, I am fine with you being gay. That being said, you are not allowed to date that man!"
People started looking at me and him as he yelled at me,
"Hey I heard you talking about me." I hear Clay say. I tense up, I can't move.
"Clay is it? Or should I call you Dream?!" Everyone looked done with this shit.
"Can I talk? Is that something you are allowing?" Dream sniped back.
My dad stood up and slapped Clay across the face. I got up and held him as he flexed his jaw, smiling.
"Sir!" The staff says as they run over, "such violence is not tolerated in this building! Please leave immediately before we notify the authorities!" My dad pulled Clay in, whispering something in his ear, then walked out. The staff apologized immediately and offered anything they could: medical attention, a discount on our tab. I humbly declined and sat down on the couch with Clay, looking at the hand mark on his face.
"You okay?" I ask rubbing his shoulder.
"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" I laughed and brought a hand to his face slowly.
"I'm okay. Thank you."
"No problem." He said smiling. A couple of my cousins walked over and sat down with us.
"You two alright?" My cousin Tommy asked me.
"Yeah, that was awful." Tubbo followed.
"We are now."
"Good. Hey um.. Clay, Claire said you know how to appraise jewels."
"That is correct." I looked at him shocked, he looked back at me,
"I was a jewel thief a long time ago." He said making my jaw drop,
"Unbelievable." I said.
"It's true." Tommy pulled a ring out of his pocket and handed it to Clay
"Is this real diamond? I can't tell the difference myself." Clay took the ring and looked at it closely, examining the jewel on top. He nodded and handed the ring back to him,
"Whoever you got that from has a good eye for gemstones. That diamond is full a 24 karats."
"Sweet," Tommy said putting the ring in his pocket and running off with Tubbo, "wish me luck guys!"
"Good luck!" I said turning back to Clay, "where did you learn how to tell all of that?"
"Oh that ring is hella fake." He said and sipped his champagne. I blinked repeatedly and looked at him,
"No way!"
"Yep. That ring is a lovely 2 karat white sapphire." He sipped again.
"Why did you tell him it was a diamond then?"
"Because it doesn't matter. Let him believe he has a 24 karat diamond ring, I'm sure the lucky person will say yes either way."

"Let's leave." I said.
"Why?"
"My dad kinda killed the vibe for me." Clay nodded and took me out of the living room. As we walked down the hallway I noticed the master bedroom wasn't being used, the door was open.
"Here." I said to Clay and he complied watching me as I locked myself in with him.
"What are we doing in here?" He asked innocently,
"Clay.. you have been such a supportive boyfriend throughout this. I mean you took a slap to the face for me."
"That's what I'm here for... you."
"Let me reward you." I said and his eyebrows raised.
"You sure about this?"
"Whatever you want right now." He smirked and wrapped one arm around my waist, using his other hand to grab the crotch of my pants.
"Why the sudden change?"
"This mansion... it's not me. I want you to know ME."
"Well, I guess I could do this." He said pulling his hand up and reaching into my pants, grabbing my shaft and rubbing it slowly.
"Clay~" I moan, looking into his eyes. Then he stopped completely and sat on the bed. Taking out his phone and completely ignoring me.
"What the hell?"
"I got a text, you might want to see it." He said worriedly. I ran to the bed myself to take a look.
