Clay's POV
I watched as they cleared Wilbur's body out. I couldn't believe that Techno went that trigger happy. I thought he would have at least held some bullshit trail or something. It definitely showed me he was serious about finding Skeppy.

Eventually Techno walked back in and had some guys roll a projector in.
"Good news Clay! Someone sent out a missing persons report and we traced the call. Now you can watch as we capture George." Techno said and turned the projector on. It showed live body cam footage of some of his henchmen.

Techno pulled a walkie-talkie out of his pocket and held the button down.
"Move into position, over." Techno said. The others radioed back.
"Loud and clear, beginning pursuit, over." Techno's radio said. I watched the footage. They walked up to the door.

"Hey isn't that Skeppy's place?" Techno asked.
"Yes. He's housing me and George because someone trashed our last two houses." I said. Techno slapped me.
"A simple yes next time." Techno said. The troops kicked the door in and saw Skeppy and Bad on the couch.
"Capture them too." Techno radioed. I watched the body cam guys subdue them both. They still couldn't find George.

"Where's the diamond?" Techno radioed.
"He's not here boss." They radioed back. Techno sighed.
"Cut him out. Bring the other two." Techno radioed.
"Over and out." The troops radioed back. Techno put it away and waved for the projector to be taken away.

It was just us now.
"Where do you think George was?" Techno asked.
"I'm as shocked as you are." I said.
"Nevertheless, Skeppy's your best friend. He's gonna be pissed you dragged him into this mess." Techno said. I looked down. I can't imagine want Techno would do if he knew Skeppy was guilty. Techno laughed and left the room.

Eventually the other two got set up just like Wilbur, only we were sat in a triangle so that we could see each other.
Skeppy woke up first, then Bad.
"Where are we?" Skeppy asked.
"Techno." I responded. Bad's eyes widened.
"Like, the bad one?" Bad asked.
"Yep." I said and looked down.

"What happened to your eye?" Skeppy asked me.
"I don't know. What's wrong with it?" I asked. Skeppy sighed.
"What does he want with us?" Bad asked. I looked down.
"He wants to know who disconnected the chips." I said and Skeppy's eyes went wide.
"Shit." Skeppy said.
"Language." Bad said. Skeppy turned to Bad.

"Bad, I love you. This is the worst possible fucking situation we could possibly fucking be in! So excuse my shitty language." Skeppy yelled. Techno walked in and grinned, holding his arms out.

"Skeppy!" Techno beamed. Skeppy fake smiled.
"Techno!" Skeppy responded, matching Techno's energy.
"How have you been? Its been a long time." Techno said and leaned on the back of Skeppy's chair.
"It's been rough. How are you?" Skeppy asked.
"Same old Techno." Techno responded.

Techno then got up and started circling us.
"So, do either of the new people know why they're here?" Techno asked.
"The chips?" Bad asked. Techno smiled.
"Indeed new guy. What's your name?" Techno asked.
"Um, Bad." Bad responded.
"I like you. You are direct." Techno said and Bad smiled.
"Thanks." He said.

Techno continued pacing.
"So, who disconnected them?" Techno asked. Skeppy looked at me and I shook my head. Techno stopped and leaned over me.
"Got a secret?" Techno asked.
"No." I responded.

"I was hoping I wouldn't have to do this." Techno said and stood up, walking behind my chair. Then I felt something sharp at my throat and a hand over my mouth. Both the other guys looked worried.
"I'll give you both one more chance. Who disconnected the chips?" Techno asked.
"What makes you think we know?" Skeppy asked. Techno sighed and took his hands away. I breathed deeply.

"I'll keep you all here until I find my person." Techno warned. Then he walked out. Skeppy took his hands out of the cuffs with ease.
"God, I thought he would never leave." Skeppy said.
"Wait, how are you out?" Bad asked.
"I used to do this for money." Skeppy joked. He then uncuffed Bad and me.

Skeppy took a phone out of his pocket.
"How did you get that?" I asked.
"Friendly banter is a good distraction." Skeppy said. I nodded, I was impressed by Skeppy. He called someone and they picked up.

"Hey, I'm gonna text you our location. Do you think you can be here in twenty minutes? Ok bye." Skeppy said then texted them our current location. Skeppy then walked over to the door and listened for a minute before cracking it open.
"It's not locked, let's go." Skeppy said. We all ran down the hall. Then we heard Techno walking back.
"Shit." Skeppy said and opened a random door.

"In here." Skeppy said and we all got in. I looked around and saw a pile of corpses. I spotted Wilbur on the top of the pile.
"He'll realize we're gone." Skeppy said. We waited until Techno was gone and sprinted the rest of the way.

As soon as we got outside, George pulled up.
"Perfect." Skeppy said and threw Techno's phone into the bush.
"Get in." George said and we did. I sat in the passenger seat and George cupped my face.
"Your eye." George said. I pulled back.
"Drive now, worry later." I said and George nodded.

"We can't go back home." George said.
"What? Why?" Bad asked.
"Techno set up a perimeter around your house." George said.
"Where are we going then?" I asked.
"Away from Techno. Drive now." George responded.
"I wish I had my phone. Then I could set us up in a different state." Bad said.
"Let's go get a phone then." I said, Bad shook his head.
"My phone had all my contacts. I don't remember numbers." Bad said. Skeppy sighed.
"We could just live off the grid for a bit." George joked.
"Yeah, find somewhere abandoned." I joked.
"We could build a cabin." George laughed. I pulled the mirror down and looked at my eye.

Everyone had a right to worry. It wasn't just my eye, the side of my face was purple. I touched it and it stung, but not as much as I was expecting.
"How's the eye?" George asked.
"Not bad actually." I said and closed the mirror.
"Let's pull over for the night." Skeppy said and pointed at a motel. George turned into the parking lot and we walked in.

"Two rooms?" The person at the counter asked.
"Yes." I responded.
"Okay. Five hundred." The person said and George paid. Me and George went to our room and George sat me down on the bed, looking at my face with worry.

"It's fine, really." I said and covered my eye. George pulled my hand back.
"You better not be lying." George said and I took a breath.
"What did they do to you?" George asked and held my hands.
"Just some light punches." I said. George sighed and kissed me.
"Don't try to tough through, I'm here if you need me." George said.
"I love you." I said.
"I love you too." George said and kissed my bruised face.
