George's POV
We walked back into the house. Clay ran and hugged Skeppy immediately. I looked at Bad and he held his arms out. I hugged him.
"Don't die. I mean it." He said to me.

I then pulled back to see Skeppy and Clay were still hugging. I laughed.
"He needs to go, Clay." I reminded. Clay sighed and finally pulled back, tears staining his face.
"I'm gonna miss you." Clay said and Skeppy laughed.
"I can tell." Skeppy joked. Clay punched him lightly in the arm.

Skeppy then looked at me.
"Take care of Clay for me, he can be an idiot sometimes." Skeppy said. I laughed.
"I will." I said and felt my own tears falling.

"I guess this is it." Bad said.
"Thank you. Enjoy your new life." I said back. I grabbed Clay's arm and we left the house. All we had was the bag of money.

"What do we do now?" I asked. Clay smiled.
"We brainstorm." Clay said and held my hand. We began walking and saw Skeppy and Bad drive by.

"How do people usually avoid others?" Clay asked.
"Isolation?" I asked. Clay made an uncertain face.
"Yes, but how do we get ourselves to be so isolated, no one wants to talk to us?" Clay asked.
"I don't know." I said. Then Clay's face lit up.

"Of course! Why didn't I think off that." Clay exclaimed.
"Think of what?" I asked.
"How do you feel about cults?" Clay asked and my eyes shot open.
"What do you means cults?" I asked.
"People who keep you underground." Clay said and my face lit up, then faded.

"But there's always some kind of catch." I say.
"Well yeah. I know a place. The cult is more of a doomsday cult, the leader makes everyone pray in Spanish everyday, and the clothes are drab. But it's a shot." Clay explained.
"Then let's take it." I said and Clay nodded.

We walked for what seemed like miles. As we were walking down a highway, Clay detoured. I followed him and we came across a vault opening in the woods. There was a duck carved on the door.

Clay rang the intercom. The intercom stayed quiet for a minute, then someone spoke.
"And then the lord said..." the voice said. Clay looked at me then spoke.
"Let there be light." Clay said and the vault opened.

A man in a beanie greeted us with a smile. He was wearing some type of fancy robe.
"Clay. Long time no see, sheep." The man said.
"Hello Quackity." Clay said. Quackity looked at me then approached me.
He held my face in his hands.
"What is your name child?" He asked me.
"George." I responded.
"That's a lovely name." Quackity said then stepped away and stood in front of both of us.

"Why have you come to the vault?" Quackity asked.
"We heard the world ended." Clay said and Quackity smiled.
"Then come in. We will get you fitted immediately." Quackity said and led us into the vault, sealing it off behind us.

For the first time in a long time, I felt safe. Completely safe. Techno isn't here.
"So I assume you guys want to bunk together?" Quackity asked and led us down a hallway of bedrooms.
"Yes." Clay answered. Quackity opened the door and handed us the key.

"This is now yours. Please change and leave all the possessions you came in with, in that garbage can." Quackity said.
"All possessions?" I asked.
"Yes. Everything is provided for you." Quackity answered.

We walked into the room and closed the door. I looked at Clay.
"Wow. This place seems great." I said. Clay smiled.
"Might not think so when you have to put the money in the trash." Clay said and I laughed nervously.

We got changed into our robes and put our clothes and money into the garbage.
"It's around prayer time." Clay said and held my hand.
"Then what are we waiting for?" I asked.

We walked down the hall and into an extremely fancy chapel. Quackity was at the front reciting verses from a book. I didn't understand them.
"Over here." Clay whispered and showed me a small bowl of water.
"What's this?" I asked.

Clay dipped his fingers in the water and touched his forehead, chest, then both his shoulders.
"Do I do that?" I asked quietly.
"Yes." Clay said and I dipped my fingers in the water and touched my chest. Clay laughed and grabbed my hand.

"In the name of the father..." he touched my hand to my forehead.
"The son..." he touched my hand to my chest.
"And the Holy Spirit." Clay finished and touched my hands to my shoulders.
"Oh." I said and we took a seat.

The ceremony went on for a while. I had no clue what I was doing, but it all seemed pretty cultish. As uncomfortable as I was, I still felt safe.

After the ceremony, Quackity came over to us.
"So, we will have to initiate you both tomorrow. Also, what are you guys?" Quackity asked.
"We are soon to be married." Clay said.
"Will you be leaving the bunker?" Quackity asked.
"No." Clay said, "we can't leave." Clay said. Quackity smiled.

"We can offer a ceremony down here. We encourage celibacy down here and you two would make a great example." Quackity said.
"You don't care that we're gay?" I asked.
"The lord works in mysterious ways. It means you two aren't meant to be providers, you're meant to be protectors to the providers." Quackity said.
"That, makes a lot of sense." I said.

"Let us have a day to think." Clay said. Quackity nodded.
"6:00am sharp for initiation." Quackity said then walked away. I smiled at Clay.
"Wow. This is the best I've ever felt." I said.
"That's how they get you." Clay said and I looked down.
"Right." I said.

"At least we're safe." I said and Clay hugged me tight.
"As long as we're down here." Clay said.
"I love you." I said.
"I love you too." Clay said back.
