I had to get out of there, this doesn't concern her. I know he loves me, he tells me all the time that he does. But- No, no buts, I'm not gonna let her destroy my relationship with him. I love him and he loves me and that's that. She doesn't know anything about him.

When I walked out of the her room, I went down the stairs, and passed Damon. Though I tried not to look at him, I could see him looking at me with sympathy out of the corner of my eye. But, him being my sister's boyfriend I left it alone and continued to walk out the door.

And I went to the only place I knew where to confirm my theory or my sister's theory: my boyfriends house. I know he loves me, do I need to ask? Probably not, but I wanna know, to get Elena off my case.

I hadn't realized I had been crying the entire time I'd been walking there. When I knocked on the door, and he opened it, he immediately pulled me into a hug. If he didn't love me would he do that? I don't think so. Do you think so? 🤨🤔

"Come in, come in baby, what's going on?" "My, my sister-" "What'd she cause now?" "You say that like she's a horrible person" "I don't mean to baby, she's not, what's wrong, your crying up a storm?" I nod and breathe, for some reason, kinda scared to talk to him about this. "She told me that you..." "Its about me?" "Mhm" "Course it is, listen Maya, Elena is always trying to break us up, you can't believe anything she says"

"But she... She said... She said you don't that you don't love love me" "What? If I didn't love you, do you think I'd be sitting here doing this for You?" "No, and that's what I was talking about!"

"Now, why does she think I don't love you?" "I... I thought I was hiding them, I did, but she she saw the bruises on my arm when I was getting dressed one day" "What'd you tell her?" He asked through his teeth, squeezing my arm a little.

"That I I got in a fight at school, just like you told me, but she she didn't believe me no matter what I said, I never told her anything I promise!" "Its ok, baby I believe you" "Your hurting my arm" I said and he let go.

"You know I love you, right baby?" I nod slowly. "Right?" "Yes" I said. "Good" "I I'm sorry I ruined your day" "No baby you didn't ruin anything" "Promise?" "Of course baby" I smile and he wipes the tears- that are already on my cheeks- away; and kisses me.

I know what he's expecting, he wants it every time I come over. That's usually how I get my bruises, and now, I'm debating on whether its even worth it anymore:

To go along with it, or get the hell beat out of me.

He tries to move me to a lying down position, but I just wouldn't move. He scoffs and stands. I look up at him when he stands in front of me. "You would think you've learned your lesson by now. To just... Huh, please me, but I can't even get that" "I-" "Shut! Up" He yelled, slapping me in the face.

Before I know it, I lay bloody, hurting, in excruciating pain, shaking on the floor. He's not anywhere in sight so I take the opportunity and slowly make my way out the door.

I run and run as fast as my legs will allow me to. Its difficult to in the shape I'm in, especially having to go through over rocks, and branches- all I needed to know was I needed to get out of there. And now.

Finally, after what seemed like hours of running, I came across this huge, mansion of a place. 'Maya!' I heard, unknowingly to me, it was only in my head. I was officially losing my mind.

After I heard that, I looked behind me then ran, faster than I did before. Unfortunately I fell, stayed on the ground for a good... I'd say about 5 minutes, until I heard, 'Maya!' Then I got back up and ran to that mansion door and started banging on it.

"Coming! Coming!" I heard. I was breathing heavily and losing more blood than before. Feeling like I was gonna pass out at any moment, it felt like forever for them to open the door.

Little did I know, one knock would change everything.

*It might be just me, but she kinda had a worried expression on her face, her hair was a little messy, so I put it on this chapter*
