I Have A Major Problem!

I was healed enough to go back home later the next day, but Stefan felt necessary to accompany me in case anything were to happen. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy he felt the need to do that for me, but I'm not happy that he took the time out of his day to do it.

"So, when do you think I'm gonna be able to go back to school? Since your... Protecting me... And all" I said and we chuckled. We hadn't made it there yet but he was driving me. "Well, I guess whenever you feel 100% up to it"

"I've been feeling 100% up to it!" I laugh. "But you've kept me cooped up at you and your brothers mansion!" "You know you enjoyed that" "That's not the point" I said and we laughed.

"You know you haven't been, I could tell, and we didn't wanna take the chance of anything happening" "All of you or just you?" I ask and he looked at me. "Anyway, can I please go tomorrow?" "Tomorrow? Really?" "Wednesday?" He sighed and finally gave in.

"Yes! I knew I could convince you!" "You didn't convince me, I just decided to agree with you based on myself and what I would want" "Mhm, yeah ok" I said, and we both laughed.

~Wednesday morning~

Today is the first day I'm going back to school since the incident happened. My Aunt Jenna kept trying to convince me to stay home a few more days, too. But, I was ready if I stay home any longer, than I continue to play the victim. Which means he wins, and I don't want that to happen. He needs to see that I am perfectly fine and that I don't need him anymore. That I'm strong enough to live without him.

For my first day back, I wanna wear one of the outfits that he loved on me the best. Just to torture him, to show him what he's missing out on.

I curl my hair and make sure to cover my bruises with makeup. That's the only makeup I wear, no mascara, eye shadow, lip gloss, lip stick nothing. I'm a natural type of girl.

As I was finishing eating and talking to Jeremy, there's a honk outside. "I thought we told- Elena isn't here is she?" "Nope" He said with a smirk. "Why are you smirking? Vicki is probably here for you, no drugs Jer" "Its not Vicki, go out there" "Ugh, I can't even eat, its probably for you and you can't even let me-" I ramble as I open the door, not looking I turn around and look at Jeremy.

"See, its Vicki" "Turn around Maya" I roll my eyes and turn around like he said. When I see who it is, I smile and shake my head. "Your gonna make us late!" He shouted. "Shut up!" I laughed.

"Do you need a ride Jeremy?" "Nah, I'll walk" "You sure?" "Yeah" "I'm sure he'll let you-" "Maya, it's fine, go" He said, chuckling. "Ugh, ok" "Thank you" "If your late, I'm dragging with me next time" "Next time, Huh?" "He's just protecting me, Jer" "Mhm, that's how it starts" "Shut up" I said hitting him in the back of the head.

"Bye, Maya" "Goodbye, Jeremy" I said, blowing him a kiss. "Don't be late!" I said, closing the door. "Do you know how long you were in there?" "You didn't have to come" I laughed. "Your right, get out" He said with a straight face. "Ok, fine then" I started to open the door but he locked it. "That's what I thought" We laughed.

We talked and laughed all the way to school. Turns out we have a lot in common, human wise I mean. Oh my God. I need Caroline, now.

I pull out my phone and text Caroline.

Caroline

I need to talk to u when I get to school, as soon as I get there!
Major problem!
Be ready!
Almost there!

Ok, ok! Why are you freaking out?

So, yeah as you can see I'm having a serious problem. A problem that I don't know if my sister will hate me for! "Hey, listen, um, I'll catch up with you in a few, ok? I just need to talk to Caroline" "Ok, be careful" "Stefan there's a yard full of people, I will be fine, ok?" I said, putting my hand on his arm reassuringly. "Ok"

I walked over to Caroline, stressed and she looked at me like, "Ok, what's going on with you and Stefan?" "How'd I know that was gonna be the first question to come out of your mouth?"

"Tell me, I won't tell Elena" "Look, nothing-" "Ugh, the 'nothing-is- going-on-with-me-and-Stefan' stuff, heard it all already. Just spill" "It's 100% true, I would tell you. Your my best friend!"

"Ok, ok, I believe you; now what's your 'major problem' that you kept texting me about?"
