Where Are We Going?

~Maya~
When I come out, I see someone I did not expect to see. ~ What the heck is he doing here? Sitting on my bed? In the middle of the night?

"Um, what are you doing in my room?" I ask, he's silent staring at the floor. "Damon, why are here? Are you ok? Elena's room is the next one" He was still silent, so I just went to the bathroom, closed the door and changed.

When I came back out, he was standing in front of my mirror; looking at all the pictures on my dresser the mirror is hanging on. The pictures are of me, Elena, Jeremy, Jenna; just me, tons of pictures of stuff.

"This picture is nice" "Which one?" "All of them, really, but I particularly like the one when you were a kid, starting cheer" He showed me the picture and I realized which one he was talking about. "Oh, thanks"

"Maya?" "Yeah?" "I'm sorry" "For what?" "Turning you" "I'm not angry" "You will be in about 3 centuries" "Damon, I'm alive and I get to see my family and friends again, I'm ok" "With a price to pay" "Damon, stop" "We're going to look for Stefan tomorrow, you should rest, goodnight" "Goodnight"

He left and I was alone again. Wondering what the heck was going on, and why he was acting like that. He didn't act like himself and I don't like that at all.

~The Next Day~
"WAKEY WAKEY, EGGS AND BAKEY!" I hear screamed at me. I wake up with a groan and I throw a pillow at Damon. I knew it was Damon who yelled it, I would know his voice anywhere.

"Ugh, shut up, Damon! Go away!" I whined. "Guess you don't want to know the last know location of Stefan" I sat straight up, looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

"There ya are, get up and get dressed, we gotta hit the road" "Are you gonna tell me or not?" "When we're on the road, now get up" "Ugh!" I groan.

~On the road~
"So you gonna tell me where we're going?" "Since your begging and you just won't leave me alone about it, I'll tell you" He said.

"The Windy City" He said with a smile on his face.
