An emotion that Tatsuya had only ever felt towards Miyuki, but this was only a familial love, real love was something nobody would have expected Tatsuya to ever feel. But now, without even realizing it, he fell under the spell.

Rushing across the parking lot, Tatsuya jumped into the nearby car, shoved in the keys, and ignoring all laws, immediately rushed after Mayumi.

He knew that this was the No-Head Dragon and thanks to the information provided by Haruka and Fujibayashi, he knew where he needed to go: The Yokohama Grand Hotel.

His mind played the memory of Mayumi's scream as she was taken away, infuriating him more and more.

As his car swindled across the roads, he only got faster. He didn't care for all the laws he would be breaking. He didn't even know why, all he knew was that he wanted to do this.

Once the tall building which held the No-Head Dragon appeared, he jumped out of the car, not even caring to shut the door. Activating his flight magic, he launched into the air, flying higher and higher until he reached an opposite building.

Laying on the ground, Tatsuya took out his trident, his personally customized CAD, and using the elemental sight spell, saw Mayumi locked up in a small cell, surrounded by guards.

He shot.

The small burst of magic energy from the pistol-like CAD blasted through the glass window, disintegrating it, but the guards were unfazed. It was as if they had expected this.

Suddenly, a metal barrier came up, blocking all light from entering the building.

A small camera connected to a drone came flying down. The noise of the blades slightly annoyed Tatsuya.

From it came a voice.

"Tatsuya."

It was him.

Richard Sun, the leader of the No-head Dragon.

"I expect you know who I am,"

"Richard Sun..."

"Yes! Now, now, no need to be so aggressive. What? Is it because I have your little girlfriend locked up?"

He gritted his teeth, staying silent.

"Oh? Was I right?"

The drone began flying away, causing Tatsuya to use dismantle, completely destroying the machine to a molecular level.

Another appeared.

"No need to be upset. I mean, despite the fact that I'm now safe, somewhere far, far away."

Tatsuya's intel had failed him.

But that wasn't the matter. He had to get Mayumi out safe. He had to.

"Try even moving closer to the building and the girl will cease to exist."

This was the first time he had ever felt true despair. Or at least that was what the man behind the speakers thought.

Aiming his trident towards the second drone, he shot again. This time, however, it missed.

"Hmm, so mad your aim is off?"

It hit.

The building housing the guards and Mayumi completely disappeared. Nothing aside from the people inside were left. In an instance, Tatsuya was gone. Only the shape of him in the wind remained.
