The Irregular at Magic High School: Mayumi Route

Volume 4: The Battle Against Blanche: Part 3

Tatsuya was running through the dark-lit streets searching for Mayumi. He stopped his search when he found the building where she was being held. Using location magic, he tried to sense where the guards were but oddly enough, there was only one person. He ran in, getting ready for anything but all there was, was a man in a black suit. He stared into the eyes of Tatsuya and began talking.

"So you're the Tatsuya I've heard so much about." The voice of the man was deep, "I'm the leader of Blanche's Japanese branch. Tsukasa Hajime. Now, as you know, we have Mayumi Saegusa locked up inside here, so don't try anything stupid or you'll regret it."

Tatsuya looked straight into his eyes. He knew he couldn't just stand there, but he couldn't risk Mayumi getting killed. 

"What do you want with me?" Tatsuya asked, still wanting to punch him in the face.

"Well, you see, we want you to join our organization, but as you most likely won't, we want you to tell us the secret to your ability to use cast jamming without antinite." Hajime began, "We sent out an agent to go after you to really test your ability, but, I'm amazed at how well it works."

Tatsuya soon realized the mistake he made. He shouldn't have used his cast jamming in school against his enemies. The reason Mayumi got stuck in this was all his fault. Tatsuya felt guilty. 

"So you say that you know my abilities completely, right?" Tatsuya was becoming scarier by the second.

"Yes, we had many agents spying on you. We know the full capabilities of the magic you possess." Hajime began, looking as if he was proud of himself, "You have the ability to use physical enhancement magic, cast jamming, and also have impressive martial arts skills. Your physical abilities are impressive, even without magic, and you can also use search magic to locate where people are. So I'm assuming you know where Mayumi is." 

Hajime was spot on, Tatsuya had already found where Mayumi was and was preparing a strategy to save her. The only thing that Hajime was wrong about was that Tatsuya had already shown all of his magic. In truth, Tatsuya was much stronger than Hajime could ever imagine.

Tatsuya had already applied physical enhancement magic and was getting ready to attack when suddenly around ten magicians came from all four directions. In truth, Tatsuya had already sensed them, but thought that they were just ordinary people passing by. They held him down and Hajime walked up to his face. A light shined and Hajime began laughing. 

"Well, now that he's dealt wi-" He began before being cut off by Tatsuya

"Evil eye, it's a type of outer magic that supposedly interferes with ones awareness, but all it really is, is a set of flashing patterns with hypnotic properties." Tatsuya smiled at the sight of Hajime's shocked face, "You really thought that I wouldn't realize?" 

He jumped up, knocking all of the guards off of him. He'd naturally realized that a soundproof barrier was placed around the building so there was no chance of anyone hearing what was about to happen next. 

Almost like lightning, Tatsuya sped past two of the guards and sliced his hands down like a knife, this triggered a magic spell to be placed between the guards' arms which then proceeded to cut off their arms. Screaming, the other eight guards and Hajime looked in fear as they realized the monster that Tatsuya was. 

The other guards pulled their CAD's out and began activating them, but their magic sequences disappeared in less than a second. Tatsuya then carried on butchering through them until he reached Hajime who he pushed against a wall, knocking him out. 

Whilst running down the flight of stairs, he contacted Mari and Miyuki to call for backup. Soon enough, he found the cell where Mayumi was kept. A number of guards were just outside her cell so he couldn't just rush in as if he did they would kill her while he was killing them. They also had real guns and knives which meant he couldn't stop them like he can with magic.
