Tatsuya was currently on the phone with Major Kazama.
Tatsuya put the phone on the table and after a second, a display popped up showing Kazama's face.
"Major, what is it that you need from me today?"
"Yes, well, first, we have some work for you."
"Yes, sir,"
"We have recently overhauled the Third Eye and made upgrades to several of its parts today. What we need you to do is to do the software update to match and run some performance tests."
Normally, a high school student would never get into a situation like Tatsuya was in, but for him, this was normal. Due to certain circumstances, Tatsuya was actually integrated as part of Kazama's unit.
"Understood, sir. I will be present first thing in the morning."
"Don't worry, it's not so pressing that you would need to miss a day of school for it."
"Actually sir, I was already planning on going to the lab to run some tests on the new device on my next day off."
"Okay, then I'll leave the Third Eye to you then. Well, onto the second matter. I hear that you'll be participating in the nine school competition this summer."
"Yes sir." Tatsuya had only just been added onto the roster of people going and was amazed at how quick Kazama had found out. He was about to ask how he knew, but, from past experiences, knew that there was no hope in doing so.
"Okay, well, I suppose this applies for every year, but be careful." Kazama was more serious than before, "We've found traces of unlawful intruders around the area."
"In a military maneuvering area?"
"This whole situation is really pathetic. Along with this, we've also got to deal with an East Asians who have been spotted on sight several times, who are thought to be members of an international crime syndicate."
"A crime syndicate, sir?"
"Yes, we've had Mibu look into it, I believe you met before. He's Sayaka Mibu's father. After retiring from the military service, he transferred to the COIA. He's currently the section manager of foreign affairs department. Specifically, foreign criminal organizations."
"That's surprising." Tatsuya was genuinely surprised about how he had just revealed the identity of someone working for an intelligence organization so easily.
"Well, when we get any additional information, we'll contact you."
"Thank you, sir,"
"I won't see you tomorrow, but we might be able to meet each other at Fuji. Say hi to Master for me too,"
"I will, sir."
"Good, well, I better be going then."
And with that, their phone call ended. Miyuki had been waiting outside for their conversation to end. Even though she had the clearance to hear their conversation, she still felt that it would be wrong to do so.

Later on in the night, Miyuki walked into their kitchen. She began preparing some tea for Tatsuya. She knocked on Tatsuya's door and he replied. Once Miyuki walked in, Tatsuya's eyes immediately went towards the outfit that she was wearing.
The competition Mirage Bat, more commonly known as Faerie Dance, was one of the competitions which Miyuki had been selected for. There was a special dress code for this competition that only girls could participate in. All of the competitors wore fairy-like dresses to compete against each other, which is where the nickname Faerie Dance came from.
