The Irregular at Magic High School: Mayumi Route

Volume 22: The Runaway Arc: Part 2

Already running, Tatsuya began a brainstorm of what the numbers meant.

0, 0, 6, 2

Once he was back in the sky after activating his flight magic, he realized what it meant.

North: 0

East: 0

South: 6

West: 2

They were directions.

Inputting the data into the screen inside of his suit, he called Mayumi who was still with Hime.

"Mayumi! Are you safe?"

"Yeah, we're getting close to your house, where are you?"

"I'm going to save Miyuki!"

"What! She was kidnapped!?"

"Yes, I'm heading to Tokushima,"

"Tokushima! That's so far! How do you know where she is?"

"They left a hint."

"But...But it's obviously a trap!"

"I know... But it's Miyuki, I have to save her!"

"But!"

She knew it was hopeless, there was no stopping him when it came to Miyuki. All she could do was protect Hime to the best of her abilities.

"Okay, save her, and come back safe!"

Though she couldn't see, Tatsuya nodded, smiling at the support she gave.

Flying through the sky, Tatsuya soon came across Tokushima, a city located far in the south. As he landed, he placed his hand on the ground, activating elemental sight to search for where Miyuki was. He had to be extremely cautious as it was obviously a trap.

There!

Not really hidden, but in plain view, he scanned into a building where a jail cell was. There was a person inside, though it didn't seem to be Miyuki.

They had a more masculine figure and seemed to be quite large compared to Miyuki. It seemed that they were more likely to be the people who kidnapped Miyuki than Miyuki herself.

So why was he in the cell?

Approaching closer, Tatsuya made his way to the door, holding his CAD out in his right hand as a safety precaution.

As he got closer to the door of the cell, he placed his hand against the wall to check once again for nearby people. The man was gone.

In an instance, a fist came flying through the wall. If Tatsuya wasn't trained, his head might have come off from the impact. With a flip, he landed on the rail guards of the staircase.

He fired his CAD, but the man disappeared again.

"What the-!"

He turned around to see a foot flying at his face.

Grabbing it, Tatsuya tossed the man down to the ground again before pointing his CAD at him. He fired a spell, neutralizing the man and knocking him out.

A moment later a voice rung through the stairwell.

"Welcome to Tokushima. TA-TSU-YA!"

"Who are you! And where is Miyuki!"

For now, he decided to play along, otherwise, he was completely lost on this. He didn't contact anyone besides Mayumi on this as Miyuki's life was on the line. If they were to get involved at a moment like this, Miyuki may as well have been pronounced dead.
