Mayumi aimed her CAD at the ten magicians.
"Run!"
She heard the footsteps of Gotou, carrying Hime, running away. He could finally redeem himself.
Now, she had to focus on her enemy. There were ten against one, and they all had far more advanced magic and equipment than her. She was in a bad situation, but couldn't give up now.
Firing a small spell to create a gust of wind, the two pillars next to the magicians fell apart, falling on them. In a split second, a barrier was created above them, and two of the ten rushed out of the dust, right towards Mayumi.
She took out a baton and flicked a button. It caused a shockwave to flow throughout the building. Dust fell from certain parts, covering the area in an almost mist of dust.
Falling ever-so-slightly back, Mayumi deflected the attacks of the two magicians with the bat. The spells, as if they disintegrated, completely disappeared.
She was actually quite lucky. She'd expected to be unable to use magic, but it seems that it wasn't as easy to replicate as she'd thought.
That didn't mean that she could relax, though. It was still ten on one.
Clicking a button, circles formed around her hand, forming a red ball that burnt through the remaining pillars. They were now in generally open space. But for her, that was good.
Running hastily, she circled the magicians before one of the ten once again jumped out with a hammer-like CAD, smashing into the ground and causing a shockwave to knock her back. Tag-teaming, another came out with their fist, punching her even before she hit the floor.
She smirked. Her CAD charged up and she released a blast, causing the rubble to combine into one rock which was sent flying at the magicians.
As they tried to run, she set up a barrier with her other CAD. She'd been practicing with Tatsuya and didn't know if it would work, but she managed it perfectly.
Out of the ten, however, she only managed to get one.
Instantly, they all came out of the dust, swarming Mayumi with spells.
An explosion blasted her back into a wall, causing blood to come from her mouth. She pulled herself out from the rubble and shot back a giant ball of compressed air.
It went right through the shoulder of one of the magicians, causing his arm to fall off.
A cry of pain came out before Mayumi shot another compressed air blast at his chest, killing him. Small droplets of blood came out as the man fell to the ground.
Eight left.
She slowly stood up, dust covering her body. She lifted up an arm and began moving forward. Wobbling ever so slightly, she ran forwards. Coating her body in magic, she became lighter and closed the space between her and the remaining eight.
What do I do?
Suddenly, a thought came to her. But did she have the power and energy to pull it off?
Activating another magic, frost began forming around the magicians. It was the same magic Miyuki had used: Niflheim.
Her arm felt as if it was about to break off.
But the attempt was working. From what she could see, almost all of the magicians were covered in the ice. The ones which likely weren't couldn't simply walk past seeing as they would be covered in the spell too.
A few seconds passed and she stopped the spell. Compared to Miyuki, Mayumi was forced to use Niflheim to the extreme, creating an almost iceberg-sized block of ice to cover the rubble that used to be a shopping mall.
