The banquet was held two days before the competition to give students time to rest. The technical and operations staff would be devoting all of their time to their preparations, while all of the competitors spent their time resting in time for the competition. Restoring their energies and spirits in their own way.

Still, the freshmen wouldn't be competing until the fourth day. For them, this trip was more of a fun vacation, spending it in high spirits, playing with their friends. It was as if they were on a field trip with their classmates, which was only natural given their age.

Miyuki, Honoka, and Shizuku had all come to Tatsuya's room again that night after dinner to hang out, before leaving soon after as he was busy arranging activation programs. As the main and rookie competitions had different schedules, the freshmen were all roomed together in pairs. Honoka and Shizuku were in one room, with Miyuki's roommate being Kazumi Takigawa from Class C. Kazumi had a pretty active disposition, spending most of her time with her club seniors, which in turn, led to Miyuki spending her time with Honoka and Shizuku.

The hour hand on the analog clock hanging in Honoka and Shizuku's room was just about to reach the 10. Most of their upperclassmen would be competing tomorrow which meant that most would be turning in for the night right around now, so, in consideration for them, not only Miyuki, Honoka, and Shizuku, but also all of their teammates and freshmen from other schools were discerning enough to keep quiet for their sake. Still, the young girls still up in their rooms, had too much energy to head for the peace of sleep as their seniors had.

And when three girls are wake, late at night, it usually meant that they were talking about something.

From their outwards appearance, most may tend to think that Miyuki and Shizuku would have been different from your normal, typical girl, but they were pretty normal in this case.

Being that they were competitors for the Nine School Competition, their talk also focused on this. They had been talking for a while now yet none of the three seemed even remotely tired.

As mentioned before, it was almost 10 o'clock. This, however, did not mean that teachers would be walking around, checking if people were still up. In fact, there was no curfew for them. So when there was a knock on their door, they didn't get panicked or confused.

"Oh, I'll get it," All three of them stood up as Honoka offered to open the door. As she was closest to the door, Honoka stopped the other two and proceeded to open the door.

"Evening!"

"Oh! Hello, Eimi. Where's everyone else?"

A short girl appeared in the sight of Miyuki and Shizuku. Her impressive, lustrous hair, waving back and forth as it's owner's head did the same. She was their teammate, Eimi Akechi.

"Right! Well, get this! There's a hot spring here!"

Her excited voice made it hard to tell what she was trying to say, "...Sorry, but could you try to say that in a way I could understand?"

Miyuki, though, seemed to understand what she was saying, "Yes, isn't there an artificial hot spring in the basement of the hotel... And you want us to join I'm assuming,"

"As expected of Miyuki, so smart!"

Her smile grew bigger.

"..."

"Yeah, so as she said, do you all wanna go to the hot springs?" Her grin was such of an innocent child.

To Miyuki, she sounded crazy. They were inside a military base, and not just any, but one for the national defense forces. Thinking that they would allow high school students to enter was stupid on its own.
