300 years ago.

Magic was a concept that didn't exist, but that didn't mean it wasn't a thing.

A small boy figured this out one day. He'd wandered on the streets only to be pushed upwards by a gust of wind from his hands. But at this moment, he could feel himself being inhabited by a foreign entity: a parasite.

More specifically, it was Tetsu.

The very same person piloting Tatsuya's clone's body.

At this time, however, Tetsu had no name. He had no family. He had absolutely nothing. But it was because of this that he was able to absorb information from his surroundings so quickly. He instantly took over the role of a son and acted like a perfect child to his parents. They in return acted like perfect parents to their son.

But obviously, such good things couldn't last.

One night. The moon was high in the sky, shining directly down upon the house where Tetsu was living in.

Suddenly, breaking the silence, the sound of a shattering window erupted, waking the entire family up. Tetsu slowly climbed out of his bed, still drowsy, and made his way to the source of the noise.

But by the time he made it to his door, it was too late.

A scream came from down the hall from his parent's room.

"Mom! Dad!"

He ran as fast as he could as panic filled his small body.

Slamming the door open, his eyes met with another. The tall man stood upon his parents' bodies, wielding a knife in his hands.

"Huh. I didn't think that there would be another parasite here. Were you saving these two for later? Ah, sorry about that but if you don't mind, I'm starv-"

"Who are you?! Get off of my parents!"

"You..."

The man burst into laughter, "I see! You really don't understand. You're not the son of these two. All you are is a parasite, taking over the body of that poor young boy."

The boy's face turned pale.

"No... NO!"

"You must've realized that something was off right? Have you ever used magic? Seen any psions floating about?"

His eyes shattered and his body fell to the floor.

"You know what. I'll give you a treat."

The man threw the two adults toward their 'son'.

"Try taking their psions. By this point you have to have felt something missing, right? That feeling is probably from a lack of psions. But it's fine, these humans have such a great amount so I'll give you one for free. Choose."

The boy's eyes began to change colour.

Red flashed through his pupils and his vision became shrouded in a mess. Insatiable hunger overtook him and he moved closer to the man on the floor.

His hand pressed at his forehead and a second later, the head burst into a mist of blood. Psions appeared from the dead man and flowed into Tetsu while the woman screamed in absolute horror.

"You! Monst-"

The woman vaporised into a mist of blood followed by the release of psions and the boy fainted.

"Ah, that was great. You fine, boy?"

The man looked towards the knocked-out child, "I guess not. All well."
